failscarf saidWasn't Joseph the other man though? If anything Mary cheated on him and had Jesus die at a young age.
Nice try but no cigar, Christains wouldn't fall for that one.

Who's a "Nice try but no cigar"?

I have no idea who Joseph is. And who is Mary?

The gist is that Joseph and Mary were married in Nazareth, a humble town in Israel. Caesar called for a census where everyone had to return to their town of birth, so the two of them made a pilgrimage back to Bethlehem. Somewhere in that time Mary had a vision where an angel visited her and said that she was pledged to be with child, in this case the Son of God Himself. Mary more or less faced slut shaming from the people around her and Joseph at first didn't know what to do when he found she was pregnant, but he was also visited by an angel and told that it was God's doing. They got to Bethlehem and found that there were no rooms available at the last inn that they checked, but the innkeeper let them stay in the stable with the animals, and Mary gave birth to Jesus there.

That's not bad, you were clearly listening to some of your Sunday school teacher! icon_smile.gif

2 dads…Joseph (human) and God (Omnipotent)…a play on words but favorable for the gay community so we'll take it.

It doesn't make any sense but if it's good for the gay community I'm glad it's up there.
(God sent his seed to Mary and Joseph became his adoptive father. There's no homosexuality involved so I don't see what this has got to do with the gay community.)
By the way, I have to look for the article but I've read that virgin births are very rare but actually do happen once in a blue century. Just saying what I read - not what I believe.
