The last thing I want to start doing is casting blame for Prop 8.

But as I've been skimming the forums the last week or so, I've been kind of discouraged. Most of you are smart, well-educated, and saavy guys.

On a forum yesterday, I found just about everyone there totally misrepresenting Day Without a Gay. I've heard nothing here about the Ten Conversations idea put forward by JoinTheImpact, despite the fact so many of you live in California. I've heard an unending bashing of the gay community, and lots of other irrelevant stuff.

Let's try to stay positive and on message.

    I agree!

The problem: You're dealing with a bunch of upset queens! icon_rolleyes.gif

Hopefully we can all move forward instead of standing still in soaking in our anger. There is nothing to discount in the struggle we have, but no anger should be involved in our discourse - it only sets us back. We should understand what we are up against and go out and speak to them as educated and loving individuals.

The problem is that you are dealing with a bunch of sanctimonious pinheads with a superiority complex on this site! I've observed the forum too: I've read a lot of postings in the wake of Yes on Prop 8 rallying for change and lamenting on the situation, oh, but the minute "Day Without A Gay." came up, complete turn around! People here started saying it was a stupid idea, they'll have things to do that day, it won't make a difference.

WHAT, it's a fucking action, it's better than nothing, better than sitting around complaining with no plans to do anything. Know what I think, the majority of *** ****** *********** on this site think they are better than the homos that are going to speak out, going to do something. Afterall, those guys are whistle blowers and complainers. HA, we'd have nothing without them. LOL, let's see what the slightly above average body will get us in the political world, not a damn thing, but it will get you laid so keep lifting you insecure fools.

    rant over.

Here we all are in our corner, munching cookies. So guys, what's next? We're still composing a letter for your great new President, and will put it up for you to read. We tried with our few matches of encouragement to light a fire on the Day without Gay topic. Heck, we even invited Abe Lincoln, who showed up with a couple of quotes.

Strangely, the ones that said the 'no gay' day was a crappy idea didn't come up with anything innovative (so much for constructive criticism).

We also think a great idea would be to have everyone here enter a contest on RJ for say, five bucks, and the winner gets someone on here to visit them. Pretty vague so far, as there are a lot of details and logistics to make it cost effective, but just think of the cash that could be raised to put towards the fight for your rights.

It just surprises us that so few have come up with creative stuff.

Bill, pass me another cookie....anyone else?
