Lately I've been watching a lot of gay themed romantic comedies and such and was wondering if there were more out there.

Please, if you could suggest some to me so that i can get my movie fix

    Thank you

That depends on what you've already seen. This subject comes up every now and again, so try using the search tool. But since I'm already posting, I can think of two that come to mind.

    Mambo Italiano
    A Single Man

Mambo Italiano is a comedy and A Single Man is more of a drama with some romance. Neither of them are overly campy, and I'd say they have more realistic representations of gay people over other films.

The Men Next Door is about a guy who unknowingly falls in love with a father and his son. The comedy element is there, while the film looks at real emotions.

In Between Men is a webisode series that unfortunately only made it through six episodes for one season. The writing and acting were good as the film followed a crew of 25-35 year olds navigating life in New York. The webisodes can be found on YouTube.

It's not a movie, but there is a really terrific anime you can watch at crunchyroll.com called Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi- World's Greatest First Love. It's about 24 episodes and primarily follows three different couples.

You should watch "Love of Siam" its a Thai gay themed movie. Two guys in their teens. It's very light but at the same time very heartwarming. Made me cry endlessly the first time I watched it. You'll know why when you see it.

Watch it. If possible in good quality and with sub titles as its in Thai language. It's not on Netflix though. huhu

Yup, for the most part. If they're not overly campy, they end up trying to use unrealistic scenarios or characters to make a statement, and therefore end up missing the mark.

For a list of short films try this web site: http://www.irisprize.org/

While, the 2013 shorts are not available, some trailers can be found on YouTube. There are tabs for shorts from prior years. There's a likelihood that trailers exist for those films.

Another option is to google Gay & Lesbian / LGTB film festival websites and rummage through the offerings. Trailers can be found to review for rentals or purchase. Sometimes, the entire movie has been posted on YouTube.

Two video companies producing gay & lesbian films are Wolfe Video: https://www.wolfevideo.com/ and TLA Video http://www.tlavideo.com/gay/2. The TLA site sells videos from many other companies and offers video on demand. This should be a good source to get titles for trailers.

It's definitely not a romantic comedy, but I thought Weekend was quite excellent. I couldn't easily describe it; it just felt honest, nuanced and meaningful.

I just saw a movie called Morgan that I enjoyed.

I liked it because though the main characters are gay, the story is about personal challenges and not so much about being gay.

I also appreciated that the movie kept away from a lot of cliche stereotypes and dialogue.
