Erik101 saidI'm very curious on how Manziel's season will look like. The man can definitely play some football but his mouth has been more of a weapon than his throwing arm.
He is going to just be another pain-in-the-ass TO. And no NFL team will keep him for long.
Agree on both points. Sure, the guy's got talent, but he's also got a bad attitude that has demonstrably hurt his team in this team sport. Is it really asking too much for good sportsmanship and a humbler attitude to accompany prowess on the field? I don't think so; give him "an order of prognosis negative."
Gamecocks and Clemson: yes, looking good, but as for SJSU over Stanford, that's more virtual than real at this point. Northwestern played surprisingly well against Cal, who didn't look that bad once they calmed down, which'll make next Sat's game against OSU interesting in Berkeley. Nice to see the Buffs come back, too, even if it had to be against CSU; same for UCLA. PSU/Syracuse didn't reveal too much about either team, though both played competently enough, which'll keep the Big 10 lively. NDame off to a good start, but there was something tentative about their play. As for MI's wipeout of CMU, don't read too much into that, much as Blue Boosters like me would like to. Early overall diagnosis: look for more unheralded teams to do well this season than in prior ones.
