    "Leg Day".

A foreign concept to some, a cherished part of each week for others.

What do you love about "Leg Day"?

I'll go first. I love the feeling of being able to easily walk up stairs adjacent to an escalator and get to the top even before the folks on the escalator side.

In San Francisco, every day around town is "Leg Day". jaja!

    Discuss.

Everyone in my gym (including me) hates leg day. What a long and hard work out.
I guess now I'm banned from this thread. icon_wink.gif
(Great leg, by the way. Hope you have a matching set.)

I had my leg session today and it was great as usual. I love working out legs along with other parts of my body but my legs have always reacted well to weight training better than my other body parts. I don't go too heavy but I focus on reps and form.

I love working out my legs more so than any other body part. I guess as a leg lover myself, I want to have the best legs I can. I love the feeling of pushing your muscles to the max while squeezing out your last set of squats, and the feeling that you're about to fall over on your last set of weighted lunges.

And feeling like you can't stand the day after because your legs are so sore (from working out, you homos) is awesome.

This is my situation. I'm 1/2 Puerto Rican...from the waist down, and my legs grow a little too well.

The set is matched, but the third one is not quite as long.

I hate leg days, which for me comes twice a week. But, it's a necessary evil.

I want to love leg days, but my legs get too big. Can someone share with me a 'leg strengthening without adding size' day that i can love???

This is the one area of my body that is worth writing home about, so I don't mind. For me, it's not "leg day," so much as incorporating some leg workouts often.

Of course, the best leg exercise is bringing a 190 pound man on a 44 pound bike up a hill in Brisbane. icon_rolleyes.gif

Long, slow reps with full extension at lower weight. Going for form and tone.

I hate leg day! I generally procrastinate my leg days. Hard to stay motivated to legs like the other bod parts.

I don't squat far down enough since I raised the weight. Also, my thighs and glutes are big, but my calves are average (despite doing 160kg calf raises) and my knees are horrifically bony.

Damn! My research last week led me to 80-90% my one rep max for low reps. Im doing 5x5, but staying away from quad focused moves, like squats and leg presses. On lower body days, Im doing romanian dead lifts, leg curls, seated calf raises, and running. On upper body days, im doing squats and lunges in between sets with no weights.

How low should i go on your suggested move?

I think it depends on the individual. Also, just a small adjustment in foot position can make a big difference on which muscles receive the concentration of a movement.

Why? People see your arms when you wear short-sleeve shirts, and people see your legs when you wear shorts/swim trunks. And trust me, when a guy is cuddling with me, it is easy to tell if the legs wrapped around mine are muscular or not, and muscular feels a lot better.

True this. Hitting it with two hard bodies is FUCKING HAWT. Otherwise, I'd feel like I was bouncing off of a marshmallow. Not hot.
