Does Anyone know anything about this, I heard it's super dangerous. I ask because someone wants me to be a part of this.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgeplay

"In BDSM, edgeplay is a subjective term for types of sexual play that are considered to be pushing on the edge of the traditional S.S.C. (safe, sane and consensual) creed. They would be considered more RACK (Risk-Aware Consensual Kink)."

"Edgeplay may involve the risk of serious, even permanent, harm, or death, exemplified by activities such as breathplay (erotic asphyxiation), fire play, knife play, and gunplay, as well as the increased risk of spreading disease, as with cutting, bloodplay, or barebacking."

Ya but what do you think, I want your opinion. I think all these are on the table even gunplay, so thats why I'm concerned.

I knew someone who died from auto-asphyxiation. Edge play sounds foolish to me, but even that would get boring eventually, so what would those guys turn to next?

You have a good point. I was imagining it would be like a trust building exercise. Maybe bond you extremely close to your partner. You see I am into extreme sports, rock climbing, mt climbing, ect. sometimes you have to lay your life in someones hands. To me this seems normal and safe "play". I could be way out of line though.

Im into BDSM (D/s mostly) but extreme/dangerous stuff turns me off. All I can say is that you should try edge play only if you have prior experience with BDSM; you should get comfortable with the basic stuff first to be able to decide if you wanna go further

My bi guy I told you about in your other thread was another risk taker. Currently he's dead.

I'd say don't do it, this sort of thing could end very badly and once you're injured (or worse, dead), there is no turning back.
