Anyone else a huge fan of this TV Show? I've just sat through the first three seasons and while I haven't been scared out of my wits as some people claim they do after watching an episode (barring the fact that all through the 90's, the only thing that could keep me up all night was hearing that eerie whistling effect of the show's intro coming from my parents bedroom), I have found each episode highly entertaining and have gotten engrossed by the whole idea of Government secrecy towards life outside of this planet.

Yeah, it was a great series. Up until the last few. When they started showing less Mulder and Scully, and more Doggett and Reyes, it was kind of a big hint that the series was winding down.

Also, around that time, I think Chris Carter was developing another show. And David Duchovny was in therapy for his sex addiction. And Gillian Anderson was pregnant. So yeah, the train ride was over. icon_lol.gif

Most memorable episode.. That inbred family. Some pretty weird shit. But definitely suspenseful and eerie.

I don't want to hear about the X-Files. If they aren't making that damn 3rd movie that was promised all talk of X-Files needs to halt! icon_evil.gif I just wanted to see the damn invasion. 2012 past wtf are you going to do now Chris Carter? You ruined the storyline of your own series. Someone needs to get on the ball. icon_cry.gif I just want The X-Files 3.
And then they can make a new spin-off with new characters from the film that will re open the x-files for a new generation.

Scully & Mulder are so awesome a team.
Gillian Anderson is beautiful & a superb actress..SIMPLY LOVE HER..!!
The story of X-files is also highly entertaining & has a concrete base. One of the best sci-fi shows ever.
I'm glad FX released it here again, so many years after it's end. I can watch it again now.

I do hope they make the 3rd movie though.

I still have a little crush on "Du-cock-Ny".. AKA Mulder.

BTW.. It was heavily rumored that they barely got along which contributed to the demise of the show.. icon_cry.gif

I LOVED watching the X-Files growing up!!

That episode with the white-man-eating-worm-thing which hides in toilets and such still creeps me out to this day. Don't even get me started on how creepy that black goo is that transfers through people's eyes.

I agree that it had some of the most concrete and consistent writing of any Sci-Fi series ever produced. While I enjoyed Dogget as a character, Mulder is still the original Agent "Badass" on the show.

Loved the series. The series finale was a huge disappointment. They did not give out any new information that X-Philers didn't already know. And two hrs.

The third movie needs to be made!

I did not watch it growing up, but I did buy the box set of all the series on DVDs and watched the two films.

I thought it was very well written, great actors and great storylines. I like the combination of the general "invasion" thread interspersed with the "Twilight Zone" type stories.

I think there were nine series, but I could never watch from about the sixth onwards, when they brought in the new agents...

Does anyone think the general "invasion" storyline followed the standard conspiracy theories of Majestic Twelve, harvesting, alien abductions - or was possibly a subtle attempt to break the population slowly into this story in case it is all true?!?

one of my favorite TV shows of all time. what a great duo Mulder and Scully were. I liked Doggett and Reyes too, but they were definitely not the same.

Whop. Gonna skip some posts here to avoid spoilers icon_biggrin.gif

Coincidentally, I recently started watching through the series. Mostly because as a child I only watched an episode here and there, and now I decided that I want to see the whole thing through, so I'm on season 6.

The incest episode was the best and scariest one in my opinion. It was so gruesome.

You should watch her stunning performance as Lady Dedlock in Bleak House.
