Not enough talk of rugby going on here!

Man I love rugby! Is there any other guys out there in RJ that follow rugby? This part of the forum seems to be rarely commented on which is sad for the greatest sport to be played. Stange since there is a lot of southern hemishere bokes out there on RJ and loads from the Uk as well. Reply if you into rugby, can meby get some discussion going here.

Ah the French, the most unpredictable team in the world and the only team I really worry about outside of new zealand! I believe south africa is playing you guys in november. So I'll start getting nervous in october haha. Racing metro yeah they have kruger playing for them. And now morne steyn! Morne steyn kicked the most points in the super 15 by the way. He is absolute class!

Imagine my disappointment when I found out that this is NOT a picture thread of attractive, appealing rugby players.

I watch nearly every english football match each week and some spanish, german and italian as well. Awesome watching the champions league as well. The germans are dominating club football at the moment. I don't think I've seen such good football as was played by bayern munich last season. They swept aside very other team so it was a sunday practice session for them! Can't wait to see what they produce this year. I think barcelona has had their day now. And of course mourinho at chealsea now may be able to cause an upset, he is the special one after all. Would be great to get a football thread going as well.

That's cool. I'm from Uruguay so I follow the different leagues here mostly and go to the stadium every sunday. European football teams are the best though, which make sense because they have money to buy all the best players around the world.
I'm also looking forward Brazil 2014 like a mad men (it's happening just 300km from home!) and I also play football myself in amateur cups.

Uruguay that's cool. Hate Suarez but rest of the team is good. Can't follow our local here cause it's garbage so I follow europe. Yeah can't wait for Brazil WC, was lucky to be at the last one cause it was here. I will seriously try to get to Brazil though!! Wanted to go there anyways. It looks like brazil is going to win the next world cup hands down. They demolished spain and have really exiciting young players. For me it looks like one of the best teams brazil is yet to produce. It won't be won by a european side that's for sure, not this time. Unless germany can cause an upset...

Australia looked much better in the second game than they did in the first. I'm worried about saturday cause the boks are kinda up and down at the moment. It's a really young team who can play some great running rugby, it's when they revert back to the same old kicking game that they kick away possession without making up much territory. It's the worst thing to watch sometimes. When they kick away the ball I want to throw my tv out the window, and jump out after it. If they don't play a running game against the wallabies this weekend they will be punished.

I don't think new zealand are unbeatable. They are starting to show a few kinks in the armour as far as I can see!

You should give it a watch you don't know what you missing. Got the rugby championship on over the next few weekends (SA, NZ and aus), the top 3 teams in the world. You'll be able to pick it on on one of the sports channels I'm sure. I've tried to watch american football but there is so many rules and stoppages I can't keep up with it all so I stopped. Rugby more simple.

actually the current IRB rankings are

    1 NZ

    2 SA

    3 England

Australia aren't having a good time of it in cricket either.

That's right. Australia rankings took a knock recently. I was actually watching the cricket between zim and pakistan today. Zim giving them a hard time, funny stuff. Yeah the ashes didn't go all that well for oz, lost all the great players over the last few years and don't seem to be regrouping that well. But give them a few years they'll pull it out the bag and be back on the scene to dominate all

:-) We're still waiting to win the World Cup... we were so close last time, man that would have so great to defeat NZ in their own garden. Don't get too nervous before we meet SA this fall : our national team now is still young and pretty unexperienced, it should be easy for you guys.
How was our sexy French player Frederic Michalak doing when he was playing in SA (was it for the Sharks?).
And yes, we're lucky to have these great SA players in Racing Metro this year (4 of them : Kruger, Cronje, Van der Merwe and Le Roux). Steyn has actually joined the other Paris club, Stade Fran├žais, too bad for us... we lost 2 of our 4 first matches of the season :-(
