Androgel did next-to-nothing for my low T levels; had to move on to injectable testosterone.

There are other threads on this topic. Most comments indicated that topical delivery is probably the least effective (and most expensive) method. If you're not afraid of needles, go for the injections.

When I did a routine check up recently this is one area I was particularly anticipating. Was shocked to find it was almost off the charts. I guess porn helps a lot.icon_lol.gif

You should consider talking to an Endocrinologist that has experience in sex hormone replacement to see if this is your best option. What I suspect might happen currently is you will go on androgel and your HPTA or HPGA feedback loops will end up doing what its supposed to do and shut down all of your endogenous( natural test production) due to the exogenous( androgel) supplementation causing your levels to basically stay the same or eventually lower. Oh and your testicles might just shrink too. You would be wise to also consider supplementing some HCG to keep your " boys" from shrinking...... its a tricky thing using testosterone as primary docs seem to think that you can just give this med and all will be well). Im not trying to scare you just give you some food for thought before you embark on this journey.

    and ps
no I don't take any test of any sort or any meds at all I just am/was a Knowledge whore in college.

Edit: Oh also there is primary and secondary hypogonadism IE either your balls are the prob or your brain is the prob( as in has probs telling your testicals to make test) it would be wise to know " who's to blame"

I've been using Androgel for a couple of years now and haven't had any problems with. The main thing that I did notice right away was being to control my temper much better. One sign of low T is having trouble controlling your temper and that was the reason I got my levels checked out in the first place. No more turning into the Hulk for me now and for that alone, it is well worth it.
