The only real reason why Rachel Maddow is talking about it because its a distraction from Syria.

Morsi basically became a muslim brotherhood Dictator.

I read the article and at best intentionally dishonest at worst purposely factually INCORRECT.

    Bachmann
“We have seen the threat that the Muslim Brotherhood has posed around the world. We stand against this great evil. We remember who caused 9/11. We remember who it was that killed 3,000 brave Americans.”

    Author:
    Does she? Does she really?

Because it sure as hell doesn’t sound like it.

The author has no clear idea the significance of the Muslim Brotherhood. Or has decided its politically expedient to whitewash them. Many of the key players in 9/11 had Muslim Brotherhood ties.

Osama bin laden and Ayman Zawahiri, started their political lives affiliated with the Brotherhood.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed refer to the 9/11 Commission Report, page 145, which states, "Raised in a religious family, KSM claims to have joined the Muslim Brotherhood at age 16 and to have become enamored of violent jihad at youth camps in the desert."

You prefer a rebuttal with more substance? I can't debate against delusions. You right-wingers are entitled to your opinions, I suppose, but as Daniel Moynihan noted, you're not entitled to your own facts.

Well if you have no rebuttal or facts to contribute then "response noted".

    carry on icon_wink.gif

    Of course.

Obama's is against the Egyptian coup perpetrated by extremists with terrorist ties, so of course Republicans are for it. Obama is against children in Syria being gassed with impunity, so of course Republicans now want to appease Assad.

Don't expect conservatives to put forward an actual agenda of their own for moving forward domestically and abroad besides waiting for Obama to propose something then opposing it. God forbid they put America before their blind Obama/liberal/Democrat hatred.

Maybe they'll figure out once Hillary wins Florida and Ohio.

If Hillary were still in Kerry's position, she would be advocating for war, too. It all seems to be a big game where everyone says one thing, then backs down without trying to look like they're backing away as things change. He wanted to be president, so now he has to deal with these things. It's not just all pomp and vacations.

    From that article:
Three sitting members of Congress who took it upon themselves to go to Egypt, contradict United States foreign policy,

So the Obama administration actually has a foreign policy? That would be news to many. Then came Obama himself encouraging the military to include the Muslim Brotherhood in the government. That's the group who has links to terrorists groups, wants to abandon the peaceful relationship with Israel, etc. to say nothing about Morsi abandoning their Constitution, abusing his power, and leading Egypt to Sharia law. The people didn't want that and the military stepped in. Not the most democratic from our perspective but the road Morsi was taking them down wasn't so democratic either. The US also lost face in Egypt. Seems to be a pattern under this buffoon.
