    I just got broadband icon_lol.gif

I have been years waiting for this moment, and to day at last I have hi-speed Internet.

    I want to celebrate.

Some one post a video for me icon_smile.gif

Yes, but are you wireless? If not, you still have something to feel inadequate about. icon_wink.gificon_lol.gif

I don't feel inadequate anymore because a few weeks ago I was able to trade the clunker I've been using the get around the last year and a half and FINALLY have a nice Honda Civic I got at a good price. It's used (I live in LA where accidents are commonplace, so I avoid brand new cars, instead buying cars a couple of years old), with low miles, and looks just like new. It's so nice to have a car where everything works.

I haven't had dial-up in at least 7 or 8 years, if not longer. But I'm still haunted by those modem tones. Fax machines trigger flashbacks.

You think that's bad, a few of our ATMS in town still have dialup modems, and they didn't turn the sound off.

    Ireland has 8% broadband penetration.

By comparison the UK has 52% and the US 45.5%. European average is 15% and that included eastern block countriesicon_confused.gif

My parents were the residential customers to get broadband in their suburb about 5 years ago.
