With extreme and increasingly rare exceptions, Ted Cruz is the voice and brains behind today's Republican Party.

    Republicans believe:

    1. Gays and Lesbians should be eradicated from the face of the earth.

    2. African American men are all "Negro hoodlums," as stated in the story above.

    3. They care only of themselves--the very wealthy and want to see the middle class, including middle class Republicans and moderates, reduced to an invisible status. Plus, they see the unemployed and homeless as "trash." That is strongly evident in the state of Florida where the safety net has been yanked away by neo-conservative Governor Rick Scott.

    4. People that are "different" from them are looked down upon and treated with disrespect and indifference. Just ask Barack Obama as Republicans were mortified to see a person of a mixed race become President.

The best way to fight back and reduce their numbers to ZERO would be to:

    1. Register to vote.
    2. Encourage like-minded others to do the same.
    3. Fight back and shout when Republicans take away our right to cast a ballot.
    4. Become involved in your county's Democratic Party and/or Democratic Executive Committee.
    5. Join progressive groups such as HRC and Move On.

Let's join together to stop and remove people like Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and other hate-driven people from expanding their numbers and influence and educate these uneducated, polarizing, morons to the fact there is a world filled with people that are not just like them.

That's right, and claiming he's giving up his Canadian citizenship, which he claims he didn't know he had to be the next President! I wonder what jockfever and the birthers are going to say about that?

Ted Cruz and his Republican party want to turn the clock back at least a few centuries…where you worked 6-7 days a week and 12 hours a day. Thugs would bloody you up if you got out of line. You were paid enough to survive on gruel, and nothing more. To them, human rights is akin to animal rights…an evil plot to limit their control of resources.

Ask any Republican billionaire, and he'll tell you that human beings are simple natural resources, such as trees, land, cattle, etc….to be used up at the lowest possible cost, then tossed aside after they're no longer useful. Many of these billionaires are devout Christians…but only because the bible has such high regard for slavery. And to make their system work, singling out the "oddballs" like gays, intellectuals and minorities for abuse is necessary. It makes the "normal" ones willing to accept their miserable lot.

You hit the nail on the head. As good a summary of the Republican platform as anybody's ever written.

Have been surprised in the last election that voters are no longer interested in their bigoted, selfish policies and won't be anytime soon, Republicans have nothing to do but attempt to "rebrand," aka repackage the same old failed policies of the past in new wrapping paper while whining and complaining about everything Obama does, good and bad, big and small.

This is what happens when a party runs out of ideas:

This is also why Hillary will keep the intellectually bankrupt conservative movement out of the Presidency for another eight years.

    I hope you're right.

But I'm amazed at how 90% of Republicans vote against their own economic interests. They are miserable…but somehow the right wing politicians make them feel good, by promising to take away the civil rights of others.

Cruz is too funny. One of the guys the Teabagger Birthers have been pushing may himself not be a US citizen, and may not even be eligible to hold his US Senate seat, much less run for President.

He doesn't even have a legitimate US birth certificate to present. He's got a Canadian one, which he says is adequate, because his mother was a US citizen. But he never got a US certificate issued, which is the normal procedure, for those born outside the US.

I'd love to see someone challenge his US Senate membership, because he's legally still a Canadian, with nothing but his own word to prove he's a US citizen.

What's funnier is the conservatives who think Cruz has a legit shot at the White House.
