I have recently started a diet, i have cut out all fatty foods and started eating more of a protein rich fibre filled diet. I have started to get pains in my stomach quite badly i.e. slightly after i have eaten and when i havent eaten. I have cut alot of calories out and i also seem to get a weird chest pain i.e. warm tight feeling in my chest but when i eat something it eases but it eases faster when i have something sugary. Is this normal?

and how much quantity? too much fiber in diet is not good you know!
& try coming back to your normal regular diet and see if it alleviates your pain.

I see nothing here about cutting starches...especially wheat.

Bad diet. Low fat diet myth was busted long ago but not before it damaged my nervous system. Switch to Paleo diet.

Why are you cutting out fat? Fats are essential for good health and believe it or not, will actually help you to lose weight (if that's your goal.) As far as the stomach pains, it's probably from the sudden appearance of large quantities of fiber. Fiber must be introduced slowly into your diet or it can cause a lot of stomach and bowel problems. But fiber is a good thing. In fact, I think fiber is the new protein.

Did you get a hold of one of your mom's old "fat is bad" diet books?
