Here's a video that's gonna make you say 'Awwwwwwww'... as well as make you believe in love. Dustin went to Home Depot thinking he was helping his roommate pick out some lights for a party. Little did he know, his boyfriend Spencer was going to propose to him in grand style.

Meninlove, I dedicate this video to you. icon_biggrin.gif

Thank god they didn't use the song "marry you" like every other corny gay marriage proposal.

I think I'd punch my man in the gut if he pulled a stunt like that. Then again I wouldn't marry someone that would do something like this.

    It was very sweet.
Corny as fuck, but who cares?
    It brought me joy.
Wishing the best to the happy couple!

Just saw this on another website...and I was crying at the end!

So beautiful and didn't think it was cheesy at all. Love this and the fact it took place in Utah.....progress is being made!

The reason that you never (or rarely?) see flash mob proposal turn downs is because the propos-er would know the propos-ee enough (private person or slave to social media, for example) to judge whether he/she would want such a pivotal moment turned into a media circus, or put under such pressure to say "yes" in the presence of friends, family and cameras. It'd be sad if someone who went to this much trouble to propose knew their intended so little and got it so wrong.

I would be absolutely mortified if my man did this to me. I would honestly have to walk away from it--- talk about ridiculous...this isn't high school musical.

The only noise not heard was the shattering of stereotypes. icon_rolleyes.gif

Another helping of curmudgeonly for ya; thanks? Don't mention it. icon_twisted.gif

We've watched this a couple of times and get as choked up as the first time each time we do. Bill even observed: "maybe Jayne (our best friend) is right that we're somewhat over the top. The Serengeti plain at 1,000 feet on a day so bright, clear and beautiful it awed even God could really just as easily have been Homo Depot, with that rolling metal ladder. Of course, we had just as much wood."

Hell, straight people do this public proposal shit all the time, so why not? I would never do it, but that's just me. It was also nice to see they have a wide variety of friends....straight people as well as gay people, older family members as well as kids. Not a single drag queen or strippers in thongs. Although I was ready to smack the guy in the mouth for taking his fucking cell phone out and snapping photos. WTF? Like the whole thing is obviously being filmed from several different angles, but you're actually going to take your cell phone out during your marriage proposal? Really tacky that he did that.

Give him some slack, Scruff. He didn't know then it was his marriage proposal or who was filming it. He added to the cachet by still being clueless as to what was really going on.
