Sara Palin gave an interview after "pardoning" a Turkey for Thanksgiving

BUT did the interview with a backdrop of a bunch of turkeys getting their heads cut off
Don't believe me hears the videotape

... get a load of the Goober killing the turkeys and looking at the camera like
    "Hey Mom ... it's me !"
he even gets out of the way so you can see exactly what he's doin'

    PRICELESS

    Kee-rist

I feel for her - jeezz. And goober is lucky he didn't lose a finger, or hand, or an arm, as much attention as he's paying to that decapitator.

At least she didn't fly over the turkey farm in a helicopter and shoot at them.

The cameramen told her what was going on behind her and she apparently didn't think it was a big deal...

That makes her just retarded. She doesn't understand what the appropriate line is for a photo op. There's simply no intelligent way to explain this...

HAHA yeah glad that didn't get voted in. Anyone thinking about asking for a presidential pardon from that maverick might want to think twice before doing so.

    Wow.

Can you imagine someone like that as VP?

I know there is something to be said for people who are not part of the Washington Elite. But.... you still want them to be smart, dont you?

    Clearly.... an airhead.

She was going to, but she was afraid they might fly up to the helicopter and attack her. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I have to agree with you. The cameraman and likely a producer had to be involved. They aren't idiots. But Palin obviously is.

Gee, the inadvertant symbolism kinda speaks for itself. America dodged a bullet...maybe even a decapitation!! You betcha! icon_lol.gif

Mind, I'd agree with you if she were only a regional and rural figure. But she's on the national stage now. If she's not sophisticated enough to get how things might appear to "city folk" then she has a lot of learning ahead of her. In and of itself, I don't find this offensive. I've hunted. I've fished. I've gutted and cleaned ducks and salmon. This video doesn't disturb me. But she had to realize this could be seen nationally.

Ha ha, maybe that's why she did it, so we wouldn't notice all of the dumb, recycled crap she was saying. icon_eek.gif

Big deal, she pardoned a Turkey. What did you think was going to happen with all the other ones?

It has nothing to do with being rural or suburban or urban or exurban or whatever.

While I don't fully understand the need to shoot a moose from a helicopter, I have a great respect for the institution of hunting. I'm not one of these animal rights nuts who's trying to deny where my food comes from.

But can this woman show a trace of class or dignity? When answering querstions about her political career or the problems facing the country, could she have at least given the topic a certain respect rather than taking questions in front of an active slaughter???

Then again, she probably couldn't have chosen a better metaphor for her party...

This doesn't even need John Stewart's take on it. The humor was already in it. On top of her stupidity, she has provided first hand info on her lack of respect for our food supply.

Sometimes, people do deserve to be punished for their stupidity. I have a feeling that Satan is prepping his bedsheets for her arrival as his future mistress. I hope she gets it, bloody, in her ass.

I have to say I did not watch the video. I don't care much for her and I hate the whole pardoning a turkey thing. So, another turkey gets killed in it's place. I wish Presidents would stop that whole charade, unless they are vegetarians. It is just dumb.

I do find it funny, the whole city vs. country thing. Most guys on here eat turkey on Thanksgiving. The birds do not commit suicide or die of old age. Someone kills that bird on your Crate and Barrel platter. If you did not eat it, no one would have to kill it. But you do so they do. Someone kills the damn thing.

I worked in Alaska salmon fishing commercially. They do not die a peaceful death. Believe me. I learned a lesson. I would not do it again, but I still love salmon.

Turkeys die. They die in mass. Someone kills them. They do not just jump into those vacuumed packed plastic bags that we pick them up at Von's and Ralphs. Someone kills them. You do not like to see it. You want not to think that you contribute to that. You want to think that the killer of that turkey is somehow inhuman, how could he do that? But you buy that turkey. You eat it's flesh. You knaw it's bones. Hypocrats?
