    so here it goes...

after i eat my lunch at work, i usually brush my teeth in the men's restroom. we don't have lavatory or anything like that.

since im not comfortable brushing outside where all other guys can see me, i do it in the accessible accessible toilet. the special toilet designed to accommodate people with physical disabilities.

so during my lunch today, i went to the restroom, went inside the accessible toilet, and did my thing. i brushed my teeth and freshen up.

when i was done, i unlocked the door to go out and to my surprise or SHOCK, i saw this guy in a wheelchair and he stared at me as if he wanted to punch me or worse than that. he had this very angry look i felt as if he was about to stab me. all i could say was "oh... sorry!" and it just came out of my mouth. i was so shocked and scared so i hurriedly let him pass to enter the loo.

he didnt say anything. when i walked towards the restroom door, he SLAMMED the door of the accessible toilet so LOUD. i knew he was so mad.

I didnt know what to do at that moment. I wanted to cry but I couldnt and in my head i was like, "what did just happen?" and i swore to myself never to brush my teeth again in the office. When i got to my desk, i was shaking and i couldnt get rid of his face with that "evil look" in my head. and i felt so bad.

i dunno. i just felt so traumatized. i wish our paths will never ever cross again.

It was crazy you guys. icon_redface.gif im so terrified until now.

i really didnt mean to use that area and make him wait. i just felt so bad, i dont want to brush my teeth in the office ever again.

did anyone of you ever had this kind of experience? or similar? how did you get over it?

Solution: stop parking your car in the bathroom.

Just to clarify, by saying no lavatory, do you mean there is no sink in the main bathroom, only a sink in the handicap stall?

Well, why not use one of the regular toilet cubicles instead of the extra wide one to accommodate a wheelchair?

What? Your toilets have no privacy so when you sit you have to do it in front of people? icon_eek.gif

hahaha. noooo. i mean like when they come in, or when theyre done, they use the vanity or something to like wash their hands. of course theyll see me "bubble mouth" but maybe its just me, maybe im just too paranoid of what people might think. but yea, our toilets have doors haha

Oh, I think I got it. The bathroom has a sink and the handicap stall has a sink.

You prefer brushing in the handicap stall out of modesty.

I see nothing wrong with either brushing at the main sink or using the stall. Simply explain to the handicap person that you prefer to brush in private.

In fact, you could leave the door open in case he's having an emergency and has to get in there quickly.

This should not be a problem and there's no reason why that stall can't accommodate you both.

This reminds me of the time I taught one of my college friends that it's okay to purchase toilet paper in public.

Exactly sir. that cubicle has its own mirror and sink and all that. i wanna do my private stuff where people cant see me but it turned out bad. haha

i was just terrified with the way he looked at me and how he slammed the door sooo loud to express his ANGER! like im sorry, i am so sorry for what i did. :C

so you're actually "traumatized" for being a pansy idiot who can't brush your teeth in a rest room? pathetic. use a regular stall, not one for the handicapped
