You need to be more cerebral about this: everything is not so black and white. Women can appreciate sex appeal and a great physique, but they are not as superficial as guys. I think you should say they think strange
men's bodies are ugly.
Women get to know a guy and even if he isn't the sexiest man alive, he still is in their eyes and when they are out with him, they barely look at anyone else. A guy on the other hand could be dating a perfect ten and his head is still looks like it's on a turn table when he goes out.
I think the reason for this starts with the nature of women: they are more emotional and sensual....the way a man makes them feel is much more important than the outside package. Second, women are socialized differently than boys as to how to react to strangers. Boys are told to be wary of them, but I think more concentration is put on girls to distrust and avoid strangers.
In todays society, the media makes everyone look like they are obsessed with sex. Women on tv seem very hypersexual and just as pre occupied with looks as guys are. It isn't true. Real life women are much deeper than that. I think this is why women say that gay guys are better looking because most women could care less about six pac abs, an orangy tan, and low lights. Most women want something they can take hom a and enjoy in private. Men ofcourse (gay and straight) enjoy using a hot partner to gain social status.
