Why Last Active changed to more than a week ago instead of actual date?

Has this been discussed already? I think it's not a good change not being able to tell the difference between a week and a half versus 3 years. You can't tell if someone has pretty much left the site. Recommend changing it back.

I kinda have to agree ... you don't want to be voting for someone to be MOD if they have not even been active for years.

no, its probably to hide the fact lots of members are not active anymore.

It allows more privacy. I like it. You can pretty much figure out the guy probably left the site if you don't get a response.

I wonder why they are not active anymore though.

They probably got bored and found better things to do with their time.

I think you've got it backwards; they're no longer bored and have found better things to do with their time.

Here's a workaround. Click on the Search Profiles link at the top of the page. Then sort by Last Login.

Or if you're curious about a particular guy, just search by his city. I'm pretty sure the default sorting is by last login or recently updated profiles.

Or click on his last thread and look up the date of his last post.

this is what I have been doing.

Think if happen with the other updates; brought it up in a couple threads before I went threw my hot list and noticed the guys that haven't posted in a long time all had the same last active.
-Believe it's good for business, as new people will believe all these hot guys are all active, when most haven't checked their profile in years.
Now, if I could only remember my Gay.com profile password...

Yeah, that's a good point. Social networking sites always boast about their 1 million members. But how many of them are active, is something that is well hidden or never disclosed.
