    Hey everyone

I'm doing some research on Male attitudes towards skincare .So I was wondering what Has influenced you to adopt a skin care regimen?was it an acne experience ?aging-scare or ....?

For me : my acne experience has shaped the way I look at skincare Whereas my bf doesn't care (and has little knowledge when it comes to cosmetics )and I'm assuming that he hasn't had the need to implement a skin care regimen since he hasn't experienced acne at ALL ,and doesn't Have any skincare concerns

Acne was my reason to for starting a skin care regimen. I can't use much on my skin, though, since a lot of things dry it out. Proactiv worked really well, I haven't used it in awhile, but want to get back into using it.

Sadly enough I'd probably say advertising and magazines influenced me the most when it came to adopting an anti aging skin care routine.

Celebrities usually have amazing skin so I was fascinated by how they maintain it into their later years and shock horror it ain't just 'good genes' icon_lol.gif

I learnt a lot along the way though and the science is kinda fascinating.

I read lots of articles of models using a good skin care regime to keep them competitive with the younger models coming in the business

I like using organic facial moisturizers on my face.

When I moved to the beach and began spending a lot of time in the sun. I started with after-sun moisturizers using aloe, then added a daily moisturizer with spf15, and liked the way it felt so added an off-season moisturizer. Now I use it twice/day, once in the morning after my shower, once in the afternoon after my gym shower.

Lol I love Joan she's such a bitch.

I just drink a lot of water, when I don't get enough my skin pays the price. Eating health is also extremely important.

Acne for the most part, wash my face 2-3 times a day to keep it under control.

I fell for the writing on the boxes - and the way the products smell - and for some reason I love things that come in sets and ranges , Im a collector that way
also with my weight issues I always thought that oh well if the body I want is going to be so difficult at least I can have flawless skin and smell nice

hope you use an oil-free moisturizer just as vigorously ! the number one mistake most people make is too much washing and not enough moisture - if you over wash you dry out the skin causing the glands that control your moisture to go a little crazy - but if you quickly balance it with a good light moisturizer you wont believe the difference it makes

Mostly acne reason, had a breakout this April and still undergoing to cure it by taking really good care of it. Washes my face twice per day, toner in the morning. Doesn't use moisturizer, they make my skin so greasy and oily. Trying to drink a lot of water and eat healthier, as I'm not a veggie person.

As little as I do taking care of my skin I'd like to think that I was a positive influence.
