umm, I don't know about you, but we are in a recession, that doesn't mean we just let people get screwed over willy nilly because people are scared of losing there jobs.

I'm not too surprised. Right now, all we can do is look for entertainment to lift us up - their industry isn't suffering. I believe in their cause, but I'd like them to take a look at other industry and perform jobs the rest of us do - we're dealing with the exact same thing to an extent. Do most get a share in profit for performing their job? Not to the extent they do - they need to get real and consider themselves lucky. The people they are fighting are no different than the rest of the world's CEO's - big money for the ones with power, little for those that do the most work. It's capitalism at it's best.

The actors would be crazy to strike. The industry is in no position to bargain with SAG. No one would benefit. They missed their opportunity. They'd be better off working without a contract until the economy recovers then strike.

It's suicide if they do. And other unions would hate them! This is no time to be out of work.

Well the problem is they [the actors] are going to put EVERYONE out of their jobs. This not only affects struggling actors, but even the writers will be affected.
