    Hello,
Now I know there probably has been thousands of these kind of posts but I couldn't find any that are recent. I am wondering what does everyone listen to when they work out?

I usually listen to some kind of techno or rock song to keep me going.

So what all do you listen to ?

mudvaybe, drowning pool, orgy, powerman 5000.

techno only if im running, good techno, none of that homo "being in love shit"

I feel like an an animal when a hard evil song is on. In fact I can push more weight when I listen to something hard.

    examples:

I was doing one arm dumbbells rows with 90's, one I put some music on I was doing 135 and it didnt even phase me after 12 reps.

When I do leg presses, there has to be a good song on, otherwise 1200 pounds is harder to lift with out it.

    random:

I saw a guy at a bar one time, he walked up and said "holy shit, you are gay, I saw you at the gym, you dont work out like a gay man or listen to music a gay man would"

Im still lost, how does a gay man work out lol.

I was working out and the brief common gym conversation with a pretty masculine guy next to me. Decent weight, how often do you work your triceps etc.

Two a lot gayer than me friends came up behind me and said hi, and then went to workout near by.

"I haven't bee to the gym in ages, look all the machines match now the gym is soooo....cute! Isn't it cute? and look they have a new little blue holographic man on the side to show you to do it. I love it...I'm so going to come here every day now and oh look before I could only lift 2, and now 3! Here you try lift 3."

The obviously straight guy gave ma a look of disgust and went back to working out.icon_neutral.gif

Actually, I don't listen to anything while I work out. I find myself getting to distracted with the wiring from the headset and the strap form the ipod holder. Also, I am a heavy sweater, so the seat going into my earbuds tends to gross me out..lol.. With that said, I need to be very focused when I am working out w/o any interruptions...

I would prefer to listen to nothing, but I can't find a gym in Manhattan where they don't play music. When I joined the gym where I currently work out, they didn't play music and it was one of the reasons I switched gyms and joined there. Then about a year later, they started playing music. If I could find a gym that doesn't, I'd go there.

If I had to listen to music, I'd probably choose classical symphonic and chamber music. Try finding a gym where they play THAT.

I was told that there was a time when my gym was playing classical music in the mornings. (I usually work out in the afternoon or evening.) That didn't last.

I don't like having an ipod with me on the gym floor.

When I am working out in the gym i like to listen to techno or a fast pase pop song, when i am doing cardio it makes me perform better when i hear a high energy song. I like some of the old school rap,50 cent and some dance songs.
