One-handed reading: Anybody still do it?

With the Internet nothing sexual need be left to the imagination any more. icon_rolleyes.gif I mean, nothing! But this was far from true before the '90s. "Fully explicit" gay porn could only be seen on film in a few sketchy theaters in major cities (at least in the States.) The mags were a joke. Sure, the guys could be easy on the eyes. But censorship was such that you never saw a hard dick unless the "model" was by himself. Seeing a full-on stiffie getting gobbled, or pushed into an eager behind, wasn't possible with print media. And even that laughable attempt at "dirty" literature wasn't easily found except...in a few sketchy bookstores in major cities.

So how was a poor horndog supposed to get some help wanking? It was a little bit simpler to find smutty stuff if it wasn't illustrated or only had non-nude pics. There was a whole series of small paperbacks called "Straight to Hell," for example, that were all about sexual "true stories." Instead of going online to your library of video clips or visiting your favorite porn sites, you could always take out your "STH." The tales were obviously fiction and had a similar ring to them after a while. (Cop seduced by motorist he caught beating off, landlord spying on his college stud tenants, the usual.) But they served their purpose.

In the world of webcams, Skype, and 1000's of online galleries and clips that show "everything," is one-handed reading dead?

After my Grandparents passed, I was cleaning up their front porch. There was a row of paperback western novels on a shelf. They would often sit on the porch reading those things in the afternoon. Anyway, I finally took a look at them, and most of them were some weird genre of XXX-western erotica icon_eek.gif

And your grandmother probably never knew, or maybe was simply tolerant.

I wonder how many people knew about Straight to Hell. The books that were collections of the magazine stories were where I discovered it. Truly great. Really gave you a perfect idea of how slutty and sleazy we were back before HIV.

Haven't been there in ages, but nifty.org was awesome. Some of the really talented writers there got me hard fast!
