A George W. Bush appointee...Judge Pryor is a notoriously staunch right wing conservative.

    FROM THE ARTICLE
Judge Pryor "would deny gay men and lesbians the equal protection of the laws. He believes that it is constitutional to imprison gay men and lesbians for expressing their sexuality in the privacy of their own homes and has voluntarily filed an amicus brief in the Supreme Court urging the Court to uphold a Texas law that criminalizes such private consensual activity."

He was also Alabama's Attorney General from 1997-2003. You'll remember Pryor, as AG, led the kerfuffle with Judge Roy "10 Commandments in the Courthouse" Moore, calling for an ousting that did not endear Pryor to hardline conservatives at all.

That said, he's still seen as a conservative judge on many social matters. But as far as why, after two decades, the "tips" to the state's "FBI" agency are only coming up NOW?...

WikipediaPresident Barack Obama nominated Pryor to serve as a commissioner on the United States Sentencing Commission on April 15, 2013. Pryor had experience with sentencing issues and reform at the state level. During his tenure as Attorney General of the State of Alabama, he successfully led the effort to establish, by legislation, the Alabama Sentencing Commission. Pryor has written several law review articles about his experiences with sentencing reform. The Senate unanimously confirmed Pryor by voice vote on June 6, 2013, and he will serve a term that expires on October 31, 2017. Pryor will continue to serve as an active judge on the Eleventh Circuit during his service on the Commission.

    Just another bigot exposed. Literally.

Here is another tidbit of homophobic derangement syndrome on the rabid right: an Ohio state rep wants to impeach the federal judge who ruled that Ohio has to recognize a dying gay man who got married in Maryland on his death certificate as married, based on the Supreme Court ruling in the DOMA case, which was in turn based on the Federal Constitution. And the grounds for impeachment, according to this dimwit, should be that the federal judge violated with his ruling the constitution of the great sovereign state of Ohio! Facepalm! I guess another teabagger failed civics 101...

We really don't know yet if this is true. The eyes sure look it with one eye bigger than the other then and now.

"Judge Pryor has repeatedly denied any connection with these pictures. He first told Shuler that the accusations are “totally false,” then later stated that the “photos are not of me.”

And Shuler may have an axe to grind against the judiciary. Other posts on his website refer to federal judges as corrupt, and he’s filed and lost lawsuits in Judge Pryor’s court, the Eleventh Circuit (see here and here). There’s a website dedicated to exposing the supposed truth behind some of Shuler’s scurrilous tales, which notes that he has been sued for defamation and accuses him of being a “Wannabe Journalist, Pseudo Court Commentator and Cyber Bully.”

What happened in here? Did Bill's "slick willie" pic shove the responses over to the right?
