Are u glad ur gay or would u rather have been straight? Do u accept who u are---gay---without regrets or do u think life would have been easier being straight?.....

Well, life would definitely have been easier if I were straight. But being gay kinda distinguishes me from the rest of the pack. When you're gay and out, you're just more outgoing and couldn't care less about what people think about you because you've already "been there, done that" with the whole judgement thing.

So, I do think that being gay kinda has its perks in the personality department.

Huh? What a stupid comment, people contribute to the greater good, regardless of sexuality.

Being gay does grant you a far more beneficial sex life.

No pregnancy, more options and hungrier tone than the standard straight persons sex life.

Thats about the only benefit there is though.... lol

Nothing stupid about it at all. Historical contributions of gays should be noted & made mandatory reading in high school to make everyone aware & help stop bullying & gay hate crimes.....

I am what I am. I make choices that define me. To be otherwise is to think otherwise. Being gay is a lot harder yes, to fit in but if I had the choice I would have made different choices, but I believe I was born gay. I would still choose to be gay.

Can't describe how happy I am to be gay.
First of all no boring, whining wife that I don't understand.
No annoying kids. Time to do my own things.
A sexy husband that I get along with.

    hmmm. My own personal opinions

    Pros of being straight
    - Much much much larger dating pool
    - Ease of assimilation into society
    - Ability to start a family

    Cons of being straight
    - Trying to make sense of women's emotional issues
    - Accidental pregnancy ... omfg
    - Getting laid can be much more involved
    - Societal pressure to get married/start a family
    - Girls bleed once a month...

    Pros of being gay
    - Casual sex is much much much much much easier. honestly thats all i got...

    Cons of being gay
    - HIV risk is probably higher (though obviously STDs are a signficant issue on both sides of this fence)
    - Guys have way more sexual ADD so it seems harder to move past physical relationships
    - Dating pool is so much smaller, and then trying to find a mutual match within is even harder
    - Societal views on homosexuals which can range from tolerant to surpressing rights to physical danger

I think it is best to be open to both sexes icon_smile.gif

The only con I can think of was growing up with all that fear of being "different" and not being accepted.

    Pros: Everything else.

I usually see two different types of responses with these questions.

    1.) Rather be straight .
2.) proud to be gay. Some take it a step further and mention how they're better than straight people lol

and having experienced both sides of the fence...

Dudes are WAY better at head.

and there's rarely any need for "pillow talk" more complex than "Hey, you want a beer?"

Most of the gay men I've met are nowhere close to being as simple as everyone is claiming.

I'm ok with being gay but I don't see any real advantage of it. Before I came out, I had no problems attracting and dating girls of all types and never had to deal with the gay nonsense of top/bottom, masc/fem, hairy/smooth etc. It is just as easy to get laid with girls as with guys for me. And I haven't found gay guys to be any less maintenance nor easier to get along with.

    Cosign!

Trying to get some girls to even do it is like pulling teeth, and they act like they're doing you a favor when they finally do, which makes it less hot (but still enjoyable). Can't get it in a gay guy's mouth fast enough.

    Pros
    1. If you're not into intimacy, most likely you'll find what you're looking for.
    2. You get to experience feelings most people on Earth don't experience.
    3. If you don't want children you hit the jackpot.

    Cons
    1. If you're not into superficiality and immaturity, you're fucked.
    2. HIV
    3. The race issue is insane and hardly anyone wants to admit it.
