Question, please: - Is it warranted to believe or think that gay guys get "better-looking" with age, as they grow older; compared to the hetero-breeder guy counterpart?!

Who came up with this "gay years" thing? Is it not bad enough that I feel like I should have accomplished more by my age, only to be reminded I'm about 78, in gay years.

Looking fagulous at any age is the best revenge.

    Confusing thread is confusing.

Your title... "Question, please: - Is it warranted to believe or think that gay guys get "better-looking" with age, as they grow older; compared to the hetero-breeder guy counterpart?!" ...

    ...suggests we stay younger longer

    But your post...

    ...suggests we age sooner.

Fries do not come with that shake, so make up your mind. Other customers are waiting.

A hetero cousin called yesterday specifically to tell me that she had a plumber installing a new sink who commented to her that he thought they were about the same age: he's 32, she's 57. Made her day. She does keep her bod in great shape.

My bisexual mother had hardly a wrinkle even into her 70s and my heterosexual brother is still a handsome guy at nearly 60.

As far as I can tell, sexual orientation is not a get out of old age home free card.

Though whenever my high school friends tell me how I look better than them, I tell them the fountain of youth is sucking dick. ha!

I think that 32 yr old wanted to schtupp an older broad.

Younger guys apparently believe that older women are better in bed. While that may or may not be true, I think they're just looking for a mommy. I can't see myself with an older guy, so I don't understand it at all.

Is it ever warranted to use terms like "breeder" in reference to heterosexuals?

Gay men use looks to get laid at any age. Straight men, when they get over 40 don't for the most part rely on looks to get laid. They are either married, or use personality and success or simply money.

If you are hot then you're hot plain and simple, age can't take that away it just refines it

Not really. I've seen hot guys let themselves go over time.

    Feel free to enlighten me...

I know how 32 yr old straight guys think, all of my friends that age were straight and on the prowl.

Inasmuch as some gay guys are more diligent in taking care of their bodies and maintaining their appearance than are their straight counterparts, maybe. But "better looking" to whom? If you go for the mature, seasoned type, you might answer "yes." If you like the boyish faced college jock look, then maybe notsomuch. I like both of the above, in case anyone asks... icon_cool.gif

Probably not. But I do think gay guys make more of an effort to stay in shape. Probably because their partner continues to want sex past a certain age and most women lose the urge at menopause. (I asked my lesbian friends.)

I always thought the "breeder" term was just funny and not really insulting in any way. No?

woodsmen said^As long as we gay men are okay with straight folks calling us "faggots"!

If straight people had suffered a long history of abuse at the hands of gay people who shouted "die, you effing breeder!" whilst beating them senseless, I would find it reasonable to equate the two. As it is, I wonder how many straight people have ever even heard the term "breeder," let alone felt persecuted, demeaned and hurt by it.

The above having been said, it's not a word I find particularly useful. But hey, if there were no one to do all that breeding, we wouldn't be here to be fabulous. So it's really a term of appreciation. In fact, I think there should be a Take A Breeder To Lunch day. icon_cool.gif

Gay older men and hetero older men both think they look better than their average peer.
Gay men spend more time thinking wishfully about how youthful and attractive they still appear.

It's part of the baggage of most men, an unchecked ego.

And it's what makes us pretty cool at the same time. One can be too realistic. It takes the magic out of living.

I guess I've just never seen the "breeder" word used much, so I wouldn't think to use it when talking about heterosexuals.

But anyway, back to the topic, men can look good regardless of how old they are.

Gay men are often too hypergroomed for me. I prefer a regular guy. All that tweezing, plucking, trimming and waxing a lot of gay men do just turns me right off. Of course we have some metrosexual straight men doing it too, but they turn me off just as much. And I've seen a lot of gay men who are constantly fucking with their skin like a woman....washing, exfoliating and moisturizing themselves to death until their skin gets that crepey look around their eyes like old women get. Makes my skin crawl.

As long as you're okay with being called a "faggot", sure.
