Here's an Online Etiquette Question. (OEQ #1)

When you see a profile that has a photo that has obviously been altered, i.e. the real face of the guy attached to a hot bod, do you call him on it or just sit back and chuckle quietly?

    can you seriously do that?

wow I guess I must be stupid, the most I thought you could do is color your pic, add words, or change contrast.

how in the hell does one put their head on another persons body.

I think I know which one you're talking about, I saw one just last night, the main pic was VERY obvious though he looked like he had a nice body in the other pics.

I would not say anything unless he contacted me, I'm sure others would realize it is a fake..

If it's obviously fake, why does anything need to be said? If it's not, then I wouldn't have the confidence to call anyone on it, which isn't something I waste much time doing anyway.

Err...I think that I would just kind of click the "back" button. Problem taken care of. No sense in getting your panties in a twist over it. Or if you plan on hooking up with him, click print and bring the picture along. Tape the 8.5 x 11 to each ear and there you go...problem taken care of!

I usually photoshop my penis and make it half the size, as it seems to really scare off potential suitors if I don't..I find 10" is totally acceptable....icon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gif

I sit back and chuckle quietly...what's the point? They already know and it's sad - funny sad. icon_rolleyes.gif

When I was younger... in hs... I used to photoshop my own pics on like myspace. I'd just add shadows or make my jawline look more "crisp".... bluer eye etc. Until several years ago I thought... oh what the Hell I'm ugly no matter what I do! lol

Accepting the way you look (e.g. facial features, pudgy nose, etc.) is what we shouls all try to achieve. I feel bad for what people do to alter their own photos... becuase I've been their. They need help accepting the way they look and the fact that not everyone was meant to look like an Armani/D&G/Prada model.

I wouldn't touch the guy at all. It's a sign of extreme insecurity and, as far as I'm concerned, it's identical to displaying someone else's pics as your own.

As for the photoshopping part... you can do just about anything with the program and it's pretty amazing what you can get out of it. All my websites where I did the graphics I used Photoshop to edit and generate all the images and the results are outstanding.

I don't see the point of altering photos. Basically you want someone to say that your 'hot' that's miles away. Pictures do nothing for me.

Yes it's visual stimulation. I think our brains are wired that way, but I won't judge someone as hot based on a picture. You can be gorgeous but without something to say you're nothing in my book.

I take photos for a hobby. I have no problem with some photoshop editing. My digital camera makes thousands of decisions for me and photoshop gives me the freedom to reconsider lighting, contrast, color, etc.

But photoshop is a tool that should never fall into the hands of evil. A new chin, better abs, or a new body is just baby steps away from child murder and tax fraud.

Onslaught. Photoshop is a $300 program and is way more complicated than just cutting and pasting. Here are some good, free programs.

    Picasa
    Paint.net
Photoscape which I have never used but hear nice things about.

you can really make a new chin, better abs, better body?
    wow!

    what fuck?

that is kind of misleading, is that what they do for those model shots?

    300 bucks?

um forget that, I dont need a new body lol

ZombieMuncher .. you crack me up so much.

I hate it when people alter their images in extreme ways, only because.. I would probably find them cute WITHOUT them pasting their face on someone else's body. Not everybody finds chiseled arms and an 8 pack sexy.

Either way though, I wouldn't feel personally offended. I'd probably just take a big sigh, and move on. icon_smile.gif

<- Um... Martian Ears, Human Eyes, Venusian Nose, Tritonian Skin, Centauri Lips, Sirian Body, and Goat hair.

I know... I think I got the parts mixed wrong. Should have been Goat Ears, Martian Eyes, Venusian Body, Tritonian Hair, Centauri Nose, and Sirian Skin, I think. icon_confused.gif Oh well...

    Oh and James...
