Please take a moment or two to read this New Yorker article; I believe it makes a persuasive argument against participation in the Sochi Olympics, a position that as a three-time Olympic coach has been very hard for me to come to. Part of the problem is of course the IOC itself; perhaps the views below will explain too, as well as put the case for a re-thinking and re-organization of the whole Olympic movement.

But for now, we all need to say NO! to Sochi.
