    Pros of your current city:
    Better cost of living
    MUCH better weather
To can afford to live in the city and be walking distance
    Way friendlier people

    Biggest cons:
    VERY far away from family
    Career opportunities are limited

    Pros of the home city:
    Major metro area
    Better job and career opportunities
MUCH stronger base of friends and connections
Can visit family within 2 hours.

    Biggest cons:
    VERY expensive
    People are somewhat unfriendly.

    Thoughts?

youmotherfixers saidwhen you say family, what do you mean? are you talking about immediate family or extended family and immediate family?

me personally, it doesn't matter because aside from my mother, father and brother and a few relatives, i have no family in the states. majority of my family is overseas so it really doesn't matter at this point where i move to. everybody is distant. i'm more closer to my homeboys than my extended family. didn't grow up with them either.

My entire family, parents, sis, grandparents etc.

It sounds as if you miss your family, a LOT.
Since the cost of living is very high there, I would think that salaries would be high, also. I think that you should check out the job situation, there.

I'm not close to my family, so I'm happy that we live in 4 different states.

You mean move closer to my family that doesn't 'condone' my way of life, but accept it anyway. I think I'll pass.
