"It's not 100% science proof ... some of the metrics are taken from purely qualitative rankings (i.e. North Dakota).

It's supposed to be a bit tongue-in-cheek, but some of the stats will really shock you."

Talk about a 'loaded' map. I don't know who thought it'd be brilliant to refer to North Dakotans as being "ugly." Moreover, I find it equally brilliant that Oregon has the homeless problem, but South Carolina is tagged for mobile homes. Homelessness or a mobile home? (face palm)

Minnesota should probably be blizzards, and tornadoes needs to move further south .... to some place like Oklahoma, maybe? And since when is Ohio considered the nerdiest place to be in the USA? Don't make me go on.....

In New York the daily commute isn't too bad outside the NYC metro area. It should read 'Taxes'.

Massachusetts has the worst drivers? Unless "worst" means "overly aggressive" I would disagree with that.

I disagree as well. Here in Florida, I know our worst is out there on the roads. Want our "Identity Theft" in a trade?

It was announced on the news here within the last week that Chicago is now the capital of gun violence. There are more shootings in Chicago than any other American city. Within the last week we've had another 2 shootings.
The last 2 summers we've had flash mobs, packs of teens who go around beating people up and stealing personal items(cell phones, ipods). And the incredible thing is it's happening in upscale, well populated and busy areas of the city during the day and evening.
Taxes and cost of living here are also out of control.

Florida has a looooot of great things, and also a lot of weird or unusual things, doubt identity theft is our biggest issue.

I'm moving next month from Florida to Massachusetts and insurance rates are LOWER in Mass....so maybe you are onto something.

But Florida's biggest problem is a toss up between the large number of stupid people and con artists.

They got MI pretty much right although I think we can probably give MO a run for its money with the obesity title.

They pretty much hit the hammer on the head with MI. Although IL supposedly has the higher unemployment record.

Tornadoes for Minnesota? Frigid weather, yes, but not tornadoes.

And what's ugly about North Dakota residents? I used to joke with friends when we'd go to a mall there that almost everyone you saw were Nordic blondes, hardly any brunettes. And aren't blondes mostly beautiful, especially from Scandinavia?

For Ohio ... let's see .... it would be the Ohio State Highway Patrol's fanatical obsession with speeding, hence the state sanctioned speed trap on the USA

Kansas has poorest health? Most the people I know are active and fit. I rarely see obese people.

    Same here in California! icon_biggrin.gif

But I must say, air pollution is no longer an issue here in the LA basin.

    Why? No air left?

A friend lives in a modest, 1500sf, 3 bedroom ranch in NJ and pays $800 a month property tax. That's fucking obscene!

Bunch of horse-shit! Drug use here is low; obviously whoever drew this map had never been to Chicago!

As a lifelong Jersey boy, I'm telling you to check your math and add another zero, at least. . .

The taxes on a parking spot in NJ are higher than $800/month! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

I live in PS CA. I just got back from Ft Lauderdale yesterday. I stopped off at the ATM for some cash. B of A put a block on my account due to suspicious activities.

That never happened in MN, OR or AZ.....there must be something to it! Got it straightened out, but glad it didn't happen late at night.

Oh yes there are tornadoes in MN!
