    Hi,

Have you heard about some of the shocking anti-gay attacks happening in Russia right now? Anti-gay thugs are using websites to trick young gay men into meeting them, then beating and humiliating them.

The violence is being fuelled by new a new anti-gay law that criminalises even saying the word "gay" in public - one young man was even arrested for holding a sign that said, "being gay is normal."

I’ve sign the petition against the Russian anti-gay crackdown - can you?

Police are turning a blind eye to violent attacks because the government has made it clear that lesbian, gay, bi and trans people are to be treated as second class citizens.

Many brave Russians are fighting President Putin’s anti-gay laws, in the face of increasing violence and danger. But what if instead of facing only the handful of people in Russia brave enough to stand up to terrifying violence and state power, President Putin faced a movement of millions of us?

More than 372,000 of us have already signed a petition to world leaders. Will you add your name and help us get to 400,000 people speaking out for love in Russia?

    Sign the petition here: www.allout.org/russia-attacks"

Fund organizations like the Human Rights Campaign

    Shame_on_IOC.jpg

    and GLAAD http://www.glaad.org/support

    Involve yourself in movements like

    https://www.allout.org/en/russiaevents

Come out from behind your twitters and protest in person on your campuses.

Continue the fight for full rights in your own country so that you have legitimacy in directing the power of your governments to influence more repressive regimes elsewhere in the world.
