Do you think that if we have a gay man as President of the USA, that everyone can learn to love each other and always send good thoughts to all mankind?

Because, gay men...always love one another.... icon_wink.gif

Possibly. In fact it could be good. Do you know of any famous gay politicians who have been in high positions?

I personally do not. This question was asked of me by one of my 16 year old students, so I thought it worthy of a post to see the replies. icon_wink.gif

Why only gay men, and why only politics?
yes, it's nice...but I believe we can do good and spread love through whatever position we're in and with whatever capabilities we have....our efforts need not required to reach the whole world, just a neighbor is enough to start with.

Well..probably because some young people see the President as the ultimate power position...and a gay President would indeed be interesting...in a jejune sort of way. icon_wink.gif

Then they should be taught that the political power is not a necessary quality but only one of the multiple mediums through which we can act.

They should also be taught that the real power is in within themselves and not at some place or position...it's in them, in each and every individual.
