Will any of them be able to survive their party's (in)actions?

All will survive. Idiocy is what motivates their constituents. The more idiotic Right Wing elected officials are, the more their voters love them. It's a formula that has served Teabaggers and Republicans very well.

I hope just enough to give filibuster-proof majorities in the House and Senate. That's all I want to see.

Dunno. My representative (the only remaining republican in the state delegation) used to be a fairly reasonable moderate. But lately he has been making round-the-bend crazy talk, in order to rise in the party ranks. Really diving off the deep end.

But... the democrats have never put up a credible candidate out here, so I doubt that he'll lose. I think it would take an awful lot of campaign spending to point out the crazy things that he's been doing, while also having an alternative candidate who is not obviously crazy.

    1) Why is this topic in "All Things Gay?"

    2) This is yet another topic here on RJ taking a shot at Americans (gay Americans too) that don't follow the extreme, radical, leftist, "progressive" party line and branding them "idiotic" and putting forth lies ("the party's inactions"). Heaven forbid someone posts an equal number of topics here on RJ taking shots at the extreme, radical, leftist, "progressive" Democrats.

I don't know. I'm afraid to say, but a whole lot of Americans are really really stupid when it comes to falling for the right wing bullshit (note unmentioned poster above). I've pretty much given up on much this generation ever being able to think for themselves.

    Three part answer..
    - Bad site design. When you create a new thread, the default selection on the dropdown is All Things Gay. Not the sub-forum that you were previously viewing.

    - When some guys create new threads, they don't pay attention to the above and assume they're creating the thread in the sub-forum they were viewing.

    - Some guys don't give a fuck and expect the admin to move it to the right sub-forum after.

That's a change. This site used to automatically put your new thread into the Forum topic you were last viewing. I suspect some guys think this still happens.

But as you note, today the Forum topic always defaults to "All Things Gay", and you have to scroll through a long drop-down to choose a different one.
