Does anyone own anything from the #BeTrue line? I think its dope because I grew up with the mentality that my identity as "gay" and my identity as an athlete were two separate entities and for me, this is a way to make a statement that I am BOTH of these things.

What do you guys think? I honestly wish they would expand this line and include a few more items? Is there any way we can make this happen? (Messaging Nike reps on twitter, sending emails, making phone calls, etc.) I think Nike would support an expansion if they think there is a market for it and significant demand.

I like it and I love Nike. They are one of the corporations that signed the petition in support of gay marriage. Of course, I have bought mostly Nike products since learning that so this may all just be good marketing. But no matter what they seem to be standing beside the gay community. So kudos to them.

    LOVE it.

And so what if it's marketing? I'd rather give my money to someone who supports the community rather than giving it to someone who signs petitions against us or doesn't participate at all in the community.

I have the shoes and Nike t-shirt. A lot of people love the shoes and they've generated a lot of conversation about where I got them, why I got them, etc. If you get them be prepared to answer questions!

The shoes are very comfortable but don't have a lot of cushioning, so I don't use them for working out or running.

That's great! And eith all the extra cash it'll make off this rainbow swag, maybe Nike will put some of that money towards paying their sweatshop laborers with slightly better wages.

    LOL, just kidding!!! #wontdoit

Hey I'm all for it, i love companies taking a pro-gay stance publicly, it's helping gay rights tremendously, I'm just saying when it comes down to it Nike isn't doing it out of the kindness of their hearts, they are doing it to make money.

    Still, beats nothing.
