ObamaNow, like every new law, every new product roll-out, there are going to be some glitches in the sign-up process along the way that we will fix. I’ve been saying this from the start. For example, we found out that there have been times this morning where the site’s been running more slowly than it normally will.

And we’re going to be speeding things up in the next few hours to handle all of this demand that exceeds anything that we had expected. Consider that just a couple of weeks ago, Apple rolled out a new mobile operating system, and within days, they found a glitch, so they fixed it. I don’t remember anybody suggesting Apple should stop selling iPhones or iPads or threatening to shut down the company if they didn’t. That’s not how we do things in America. We don’t actively root for failure. We get to work, we make things happen, we make them better, we keep going.

Well, exactly. What is launching today is quite literally a bunch of web sites. I find it a little hard to believe that they spent twenty million dollars on the oregon site, and it still isn't fully functional. Today it does seem to be working, slowly, except that you can't actually make a purchase until next month. edit: I take that back - you can see the cost of the plans, but you can't click through to see the details. I'll check back next week.

In any case, Blue Cross/Blue Shield has already cancelled my current plan, so I have to make a jump. Republicans don't seem to realize that it has already happened. There is no going back now.

Funny how he didn't extend the analogy to rival companies blitzing the market with misleading commercials...

At 4am EST on 10/14, I finally created an account. Now my account is gone. BlueCrossBlueShield cancelled my policy to. My doctor is retiring at 58 because of Obamacare. Most of the doctors in my area aren't accepting new patients.

My 100yo Aunt just got 2 of her meds cutoff by decision of the Medicare Death Panel. Her doctor is retiring due to losing options to treat patients, the Medicare reimbursement cuts and mass of new regulations which would require him to add additional admin staff. While I find Sarah Palin to be an obnoxious creature, she actualy tuirned out to be right (no pun intended).

Obama also started the Centenarian Program this year whereby all 100yo plus seniors are interviewed by Social Security and must prove they can manage their money or be cutoff.

Seems that is a bit different from what you were promised.
