I loved a comment that Scalia should be more worried about a house dropping than a second shoe. LOL!

I'm just surprised to learn he was ever able to even stuff those feet into stilettos.

Someone should drop a shoe on Scalia's head, it might give him some common sense.

This guy looks like a raving social liberal compared to Thomas. I agree with him that the DOMA case was not a true gay marriage case.

This comment will help him rationalize his flip to the other side when true gay marriage questions come before the court.

Scalia has just outdone himself again, this time in an interview with the New York Magazine.

    http://nymag.com/news/features/antonin-scalia-2013-10/

Besides believing in the devil, blaming women for the coarsening of society, etc., he made two salient points: A law that calls for flogging of criminals would be constitutional, and so would be laws criminalizing homosexuality. So in his book, any state that wants to flog us, or worse, would be perfectly free to do so. Scary stuff that sounds straight out of the legal system of some not so savory countries. I guess we need those seemingly ridiculous laws against Sharia law in the US after all, if even a supreme court justice doesn't think our constitution protects us from such barbarism.

Why Scalia’s ‘I Have Friends I Know Or Suspect Are Homosexual’ Interview Should Scare America

He makes me vomit so I only read some and skimmed some of the rest of http://nymag.com/news/features/antonin-scalia-2013-10/. Seems to me he's talking out of both sides of his ass, the farty one in his pants and the smellier one between his chins and his nose.

On the one hand he says "a lot of stuff that’s stupid is not unconstitutional" but then he also indicates that constitutionality can be determined by "a reasonable basis".

That makes it very convenient for him to flog fags at whim. He's so full of shit.

Scalia is a catholic. There is no hope for catholics like him to wake up from their deep-rooted brain-washed doctrines and dogmas, some for generations. It took me years of therapies and soul searching to fully get rid of my catholic poisons. It was hell.

Like you, I was raised Roman Catholic, but when the corruption and hypocrisy in the Vatican became more exposed than I began to break away from the church. I also questioned the validity of religion itself because a lot of the doctrines sounded so far fetched. I fact I concluded that most religious faith is based on fairy tales. When the Vatican started lurching to the extreme right, that permanently ended my days as a Roman Catholic. I am now an agnostic that is gradually drifting towards atheism. Like you, I am embracing free thinking.

see Zeitgeist, and go from there

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeitgeist:_The_Movie

Part I: The Greatest Story Ever Told

Part I questions religions as being god-given stories, stating that the Christian religion specifically is mainly derived from other religions, astronomical assertions, astrological myths and traditions, which in turn were derived from or shared elements with other traditions. In furtherance of the Jesus myth hypothesis this part states that the historical Jesus is a literary and astrological hybrid, nurtured politically. The work of Acharya S, author of The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold, was used extensively in Part I of the movie. Acharya also acted as consultant for Part I of the movie.
