Ohno saidSurely an allowance of 10 people a day is more than enough for anybody? No it's not. Grindr limits its grid display to the 90 closest guys (a combination of online and recently online). Let's say you're a tall handsome built 33yo urban gay hipster, and when you're home, you often see a bunch of guys who are - let's say middle aged daddy types 50 or over - and you know without a doubt that you will never ever be interested in meeting any one of them, then if you block all - let's say 15 - of them, then instead of reducing the number of men you see on your grid from 90 to 75, grindr reaches into it's grab bag to display the next 15 closest men. What if the man of your dreams was occupying slot 91 and you had already reached your block limit of 10. You better pray that he's still logged on when your 24 hour cycle resets and you can block another 10 users. Otherwise you'll have been cock blocked by a silver daddy. That would suck, right?
Ohno saidIt has an age filter (I use upper and lower). It only affects who you see, not who sees you but I don't really mind who sees me. I do prefer Scruff but it is because of the "who looked at me" and "would you like to meet" features. Oh, and because people can have an underwear pic on their profile :-)Okay so yes the age filter is available to all users which means the example I used is a big fail. I could explain how my recently discovered method for exceeding the 10 per 24 hour block limit barrier benefits me personally, but I wouldn't be able to apply any flirty innuendo to my real life example plus I would likely offend other RJer's who are a sensitive bunch to begin with.
