    Great attitude.

Although the government shutdown continues, it appears President Barack Obama and the White House are not getting any closer to negotiating with Republicans. A quotation from an unnamed senior administration official in today's Wall Street Journal explains why.

Said a senior administration official: "We are winning...It doesn't really matter to us" how long the shutdown lasts "because what matters is the end result."

With this view, it explains why President Obama won't agree to any piecemeal legislation that would keep Veterans Affairs and NIH open during the shutdown.

The Republican congress wants to "piece meal" what departments are funded and what are not...If our President agreed to this the ass baggers would think they could then unfund the affordable care act...Yesterday, a wacko drove the streets of Washington...Her actions threatened the public and others. The Washington capital police and the secret service took this person out...Those police aren't getting paid because of this republican backed shut down. It's not about winning or losing it's about this fact... This shutout is affected peoples lives and they still choose to do their jobs. This is what makes America great...Being responsible even when the ass baggers are acting like closed minded...MORONS.

Please see the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974. Also familiarize yourself with the terms "Appropriations Bill," "Discretionary Program," "Mandatory Program" and the "Origination Clause" of the Constitution.

Then come back here and admit that you are completely wrong.

    Thanks.

Oh, and leave all the playground terms like "ass baggers" and "MORONS" and the like out of your next posting. It will save us all a lot of time getting to your actual point.

I dont think you have a good grasp of how laws are passed and budget are passed.

All spending bills must originate in the House.

    Article I, Section 7, Clause 1
All Bills for raising Revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives; but the Senate may propose or concur with Amendments as on other Bills.

The republicans end game is to drag this out for weeks so they can attached this to the debt ceiling showdown. As time passes the republicans become as popular as hemorrhoids at a bench sitting contest...and with this..time for my lifting..so...bye bye.

Politically, the Democratic Party is winning the messaging and there is only one outcome that will happen here, the Republican House will have no choice but to pass a clean CR, because Obama will not approve de-funding Obamacare. Republicans are going to lose this fight and have to concede eventually.

Republicans are completely delusional, as usual, thinking this is winning issue for them. It's reminiscent of their insistence that the polls were "skewed" and Obama was going to lose the election. They live in a right-wing/Rush Limbaugh bubble that confuses their reality.

The Affordable Care Act is already up and running. It is time for the GOP to face reality and act like grownups. Boehner should put an end to this right-wing temper tantrum and call a vote to fund the government.

Umm I'm kinda at a loss as to what imsupposed to think after reading this post
Am I supposed to come to a realization that the republican house is no longer bankrupt of ideas as to being able to get themselves out of a corner their rabid breathren painted them into?
That they didn't Completely overturn the process of democracy to make political hay?

If you saw Willie Wonka you know the adage
"You lost .... You get nothing .... Good day Sir"!

You libs can't focus on a topic, can you?

You phony, fake, dishonest, unverified conservatrolls can't get it through your heads that 1) nobody here is falling for your selective quoting, hypocrisy, lies, whining, crying and disinformation and 2) the shutdown is widely and rightly recognized as the latest Republican FAIL and no amount of spin is going to change that -- can you?

I sense some building hysteria in you.

Now focus on the topic instead of flailing away with derogatory name calling.

Said a senior administration official: "We are winning...It doesn't really matter to us" how long the shutdown lasts "because what matters is the end result."

White House allies, however, say a long shutdown could make the White House's position less tenable.

It's cute to see the right-wing Wall Street Journal concern trolling, but I'm sure the White House will take its chances given that that poll after poll shows that Americans rightly blame Republicans for causing the shutdown with their selfish, radical refusal to 1) accept the Affordable Care Act (which was based on Obama giving up a public option/single payer to compromise with Republicans) and 2) fund the government (at sequestration budget levels based on Obama's concessions to Republicans).

Good try though, Wall Street Journal.

Obama's approval drops to 41 percent, lowest in two years, poll finds
    http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/326717-obamas-approval-drops-to-lowest-level-in-two-years

Someone who always believes one group is responsible 100% for problems illustrates mental dysfunction.

"Mental disorders are common in the United States and internationally. An estimated 26.2 percent of Americans ages 18 and older — about one in four adults — suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year."
    http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/publications/the-numbers-count-mental-disorders-in-america/index.shtml

Obama's approval rating is still higher than that of Congressional Republicans. So again, Obama should ignore Republicans who concern troll about his approval rating when their own is in the trash.

Someone who would argue that, for example, "all groups" are responsible for the Holocaust not only has a mental disorder but is a liar -- apparently that's what RealJock conservatives believe since we're support to just split the difference and not the blame the group that is responsible "just because". In fact, one group was responsible for the Holocaust, and we know who they were.

Similarly, one group is responsible for the shutdown -- and we know who. Conservatives who think the American people are fooled continue to demonstrate that they live in an alternate reality of unskewed polls where up is down and right is left.

Inability to reality test is symptom of many mental disorders -- including dementia, schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, and pathological lying. Which ones are our conservatrolls afflicted with?

QUOTE AUTHOR GOES HEREIn that simple civics lesson is the root of the problem. Congress passes legislation to spend, but it’s the president who must ensure those bills get paid. Those two objectives don’t neatly line up. President Barack Obama complains that past presidents haven’t been subjected to the types of conditions being asked of him in exchange for lifting the debt ceiling, but it just isn’t true. To the contrary, there’s plenty of precedent.

It's amazing what people can learn if they just take some time out from being brainwashed by ABC / CBS / NBC / MSNBC and the Democrat hacks filling the airwaves with propaganda and they actually spend some time researching (not-so-ancient) history.

Republicans do not get off the hook here. Why they are playing this strategy and such a disjointed reason why the ACA is up for discussion is beyond me. Unfortunately the cynic in me knows that they have calculated all of these things and they know the ACA is a bomb within the core of the democratic party.

Its sort of distressing that it is quite likely this whole shutdown is a charade in effect to publicly paint every Democratic vote.

I vacillate from believing that the republicans have figured out Obama is a pathetic narcissist and masterfully invented his kryptonite in this shutdown or they are incredibly naive politicians without a central voice.

As a side note the networks were supposed to go live with the "first" ACA person enrolled. The guy turned out to be a fraud and admitted lying.

So the administration last minute called off the press conference. So they could not find 1 person coming forward on the law?

The once useful Republican party has been kidnapped & corrupted by a small group of right wing extreme toolboxes from the TEA party.

I am embarrassed to admit that I was once a Republican, before the stupidity started to take over the party, during Ronald Reagan's second term.

The "first" ACA person enrolled was prolly a TEA party "plant"?
