Such an epic movie. This is what you expect when you pay to go see a movie, especially in 3D. Loved it. icon_biggrin.gif

Honestly I'm not a big fan of SB but she pulls it off. Plus damn she looks good for a 48 year old!

I haven't seen it yet, but I definitely will at some point (if only when it comes out on DVD). I read a good review on New Scientist. Apparently the physics and technology is very accurate.

    Hey,

I liked Sandra Bullock in Speed. (And she was in Crash. That's funny: Speed and Crash. How about Speed - Gravity - Crash?)

I liked the movies The Perfect Storm and Solaris with George Clooney.

Last night, I watched the video rental of Johsua Tree 1951: A Portrait of James Dean.

1: It wasn't a waste of time for me. a) It brought me back to when I used to study acting. b) I liked the movie Giant. I could see his magnetism and his acting talent. c) As a playwright, I was too happy to see a film about actors at the beginning of their career.

    2. It was artistically done.

    3. It captured his life before his career took off--nice slice of life to catch. It was significant for me to learn more about his sexuality.

    4. As a former tenor, I was totally impressed with the lounge singer.

Will watch a video rental Oblivion.

But first: I have to go the Lifetime Fitness and to a regional meeting of playwrights.

One of the most riveting and beautiful films I have seen in years. The cinematography was a feast for the eyes. It was so intense at times, a real edge-of-your-seat thriller, and completely different than any space movie I have ever seen. I'm so glad I saw it at a theater that shows it in 3-D, which I highly recommend, as it really brings you into space. Even tears rolling off Sandra Bullocks face I felt I could reach out and touch. Don't miss "Gravity" if you want something truly mesmerizing to watch and experience. Surely one of the best film spectacles of the year.

I saw it last night; such a visceral experience and it really moved me. Sandra's performance was so authentic and it showed the depth she could display. My heart literally pounded throughout the entire duration of the film!

It seems, I will have to watch it. I would have preferred watching it in 3D but they are only showing the 3D version.

You might not even call it science fiction haha. The premise of the movie has occurred in real life ... just not the same outcome.

I googled Fort Worth (where you are) and IMAX and found this:

I would love to go to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History to see this and then go see Gravity--

Breaking news. I have to start another thread.

Definitely one of the most intense movies I've seen in many years, and i wouldn't have expected any less from the director Alfonso Cuaron. Some of the 3D effects in the movie were spectacular... it's definitely worth paying the higher price to watch it in 3D IMAX

I just saw it tonight. It was a great movie. 8/10 (I'm a tough critic). It explored some wonderful themes about life and did it well.

I definitely recommend seeing it in 3D.

Hadn't heard anything about it really and went to see it with friends. One of the better movies I've watched for sure.
