I downloaded the deluxe edition and there's one song in particular(On My Own) that should've made the standard album and be released... but I feel like the rest of it is just kind of "there".

Bangerz sounded like it should be club-hits, songs you WANT or feel the need to blast yet they're not.

mike33 saidthoughts? talentless slut trying to triggered a 'SHOCK VALUE' to promote her overrated, generic pop album...attention seeking whore with no singing talent but with a talent of acting slutty who will regret her current life after having kids. (just like most celebs)

Look up the word "Desperate" in the dictionary and you'll find her picture there. I can't believe a grown man would actually buy this crap (no offense Trevor.) And for God's sake, please stop sticking out your gross bacteria covered tongue! Did no one ever teach you to brush your tongue when you brush your teeth? icon_confused.gif

Heard Belinda Carlisle in a diner today.

It's hard to believe at one time in mass culture a pop thrush had to...maybe...drop a little baby fat, get a sophisticated hair style, and start penning her own songs in order to ascend into her "adult" phase.

in Belinda's case, a 20 year fascination with cocaine kept her going

I think it's the best pop album I've heard in ages and I'm not kidding. Tracks like Drive, Getitright, Do My Thang and Someone Else are amazing.

Literally have this album on repeat. It's almost as good as Britney's Blackout and that's saying something. I even like SMS (Bangerz) LOL ! Has that Salt and Peppa vibe. icon_lol.gif

I listened to some of it on Spotify today given all the hype that is surrounding it. I was surprised by how good Miley is vocally - she is talented. As for the album...I loved 'Adore You' but from then on it's just lowest common denominator sell-as-much-as-possible muzak. It was like eating at Burger King.

I don't agree, although I haven't heard her new album but I don't think Bangerz is better than Christina Aguilera's Back to basics or Madonna's Confessions if you're talking about good pop records...

I was surprised at how much I really liked the BANGERZ cd. She's on her 2nd #1 smash off of this project, so clearly Miley is doing something right. I like the hip-hop influenced pop direction she is going with her music. This thing is chock full of hits. One of my favorites is "4 X 4", but there are several ballads like "I Adore You" that are quite good. Her vocals have never sounded better. I think she's becoming the "female rebel" flip-side of Taylor Swift, and it's selling. "BANGERZ" no doubt is going to take Miley Cyrus into a whole new stratosphere of pop stardom as she has easily proven with this project that she can and has made the transition from Hannah Montana to a grown up pop diva. Go Miley!

Well no one is better than Madonna so yeah..........icon_lol.gif

In all honesty I hated Miley Cyrus with a passion but I came around after Wrecking Ball premiered. When I heard the whole album I came away super impressed with her. The production is top notch and her voice, while nasal at times, is pretty impressive.

She could have gone the way of other Disney twits and released bland forgettable shit, instead she's taken a risk with her image/music and I can appreciate that.

I like what she's doing because she's exploiting all her haters for more profit. Think about it; way before she cut her hair and started acting wild, people were still hardcore hating on her cause she became the annoying Disney celebrity that people "loved to hate." So she decided to troll her haters by being ridiculous, and to be honest, I'd do the same thing. On top of that, I really think urban culture fits her better than what she was before; everything about her seemed awkward like it didn't fit her personality, but the ghetto attitude, though outrageous, fits her like a chaotic glove.
I was also really impressed with the album, and to anybody saying she has zero talent, and those who are slut-shaming her, you guys are being ridiculously hyperbolic and have no decent amount of ethos for anybody to take seriously. The new Miley goes hard, whether you like it or not.

Fun fact: I went to middle school with Miley Cyrus. haha! Sorry for the essay.

I am diggin' her new album.
I think it has such a variety of tracks on it, as well as features such a vast amount of artists.
I believe it's her redefining album, which she pulled off flawlessly. icon_biggrin.gif
