So I have read a few topics on gay themed movies, but Big Eden has not been mentioned. Its a very moving movie that I recently watched and liked it to bits. Certainly one of my favorites now.

Has anyone seen it? If you did whats your opinion about the movie?

I liked it. It was a very sweet movie. I can only wish that there will be a town as tolerant as Big Eden in my lifetime!! icon_biggrin.gif

Liked it very much - it had that Northern Exposure vibe. REally charming, which counts for something to me, and funny, human. And I have to say I love films that assume a more open minded world than the one we often seem to live in.

I saw Big Eden a very long time ago and then soon after a couple of more times and liked it better each time. I loved their open mindness approach to relationships.

I worked for several years with actor Arye Gross a LONG time ago at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, CA. Really enjoyed the film (not as much as my folks did - it's far more their style) while also realizing it to be a TOTAL wish-fulfillment fantasy as opposed to having anything to do with the way the world really works. Then again, it's really nice to see something like that every once in a while.

sorry for bumping old thread. But I just wanna say I love this movie. Though it seem unrealistic where everyone in that small town is open about gay relationships but it is still sweet and adorable movie.

And by the way, the relationship between Henry and Dean is quite interesting where I think Dean does love Henry as someone special but he's just not sexually attracted to him.

But anyway, it's a sweet movie.

I saw it a few years ago, and I liked it. It's a little different from other gay-themed movies.
