Could they have designed that billboard so that it was harder to read!!!! ... icon_rolleyes.gif

I like the sentiment but nobody driving by in a car will ever get to read that.

I cant see the pic, but I'd assume wherever it is in SD, there's traffic! No worries...plus the press time it will get will be worth more.

If that's the billboard there in your profile picture, it looks suspiciously like a scoreboard from some crappy school!

I mean, the billboard itself is awesome!

It's really nice to see that some of us are not the only ones with Christian faith that have issues with why they supported this to begin with. Kudos to them for reaching out to prove that it's NOT the will of all Christians.

    LOL

    Catholic

You will never know how happy it would make me if the Catholic Church followed this example.

I think we'd see a pope dressed in drag before we'd see the catholic church apologize for it's history or intolorance. I grew up Catholic.

Isn't he already, in his Prada slippers, gold robe and big shiny hat? I imagine that getup's the envy of many a drag queen.

I thought I would never see in my lifetime peace in Northern Ireland, and see Sinn Féin and the DUP in government together, yet look at it now.

There are more lay people getting involved with running the Catholic Church now because there are not as many priests and there will be less. So I have great hopes for it.

    Mike,
I would be hopeful too... if the Catholic church was a non-denominational church... which it is not. Everything catholics believe in has been influenced by popes and other key church officials. Look at birth control--I know of a girl who is not catholic but works for a company (social services) under the umbrella of Catholic Charties of Maine. She gets health insurence through her work but can't get birh control pills since the insurence won't pay for them... Catholic Charities won't pay for Birth control pills. To me, that's pretty damn radical. But if you look at the majority of Cathies I think you'd find an overwhelmingly support for those types of pills.

Popes tend to be old men locked in their "Ivory Tower of morality and justice"--the little people (aka you, Mike) are trying to distort God's word/plan.

Unless the catholic church changes its internal political compostion, I don't think much change will come. Then again i may be wrong

..and then you realize that the only reason they're apologizing is because people got ticked. Kinda like when the Mormons started allowing black people into the church because the government threatened to remove their tax-exempt status.

Nah... Christian's aren't worried about getting people ticked when they support what they consider to be right.
