    Is this the same Kuwait that the US liberated in 1991 after a successful Iraq invasion? Maybe we shouldn't have wasted US lives and treasure on them. If we still have a defense pact with them it should be reviewed.

    I did a deployment in Kuwait 1998-99, working alongside our American cousins. I have happy memories of the place. In those days, you had down days and the security situation was such that you could go into Kuwait City on your days off.

    Kuwait has a large number of migrant workers, mostly from the Indian sub-continent and south east Asia. Many of them are badly treated. I suspect this is another measure aimed at keeping them down. Shame on Kuwait. Let them sort out their own shit next time they get invaded.

    To GymFreak aka theanticock pka OnTarget,
    For this entire week of our mourning our 49 Orlando dead massacred by one of your scumbag Muslim jihadists, assisted in his murdering by his "Palestinian" wife, you've been incessantly posting your Moooslim crap into all the forums, digging up Middle East threads from nearly a decade ago to spam spam spam spam spam spam spam your anti-Semitic ranting to bully a gay community struggling to come to grips with the catastrophe done to us by your Radical Islamic Piece of Shit buddy. You've been posting my screenname and my picture before I broke the link to that and posting MY ELEPHUNTS into every thread to disrupt the grieving of this gay community which you've done under the guise first of OnTarget and then as theantiCock, your mockery of my screenname theantijock;

    thusly you posted there and there and there and there and there and there and there:

    Hmmmm... I wonder if that applies to the LGBT soldiers who saved Kuwait's ass in the first Gulf War?

    Exactly right!
    Why did we spend money and lives defending these bigots?
    The US needs to stop getting involved in these conflicts -- let the Middle East work out their own issues.

    The US invasion of Iraq was the brainchild of the senior President Bush. Urged by the Neocons around him.

    Who exactly appointed the US to be the world's policeman? Some of these Neocons went on to "cook" the intelligence data about Iraq following 9/11, to persuade the easily-manipulated Bush the Younger to start the current Iraq War.

    The unproven Neocon theory was that once the US took out certain Middle East leaders, democracy would spontaneously spring up. And that the current Iraq War would "pay for itself" with oil revenues benefiting the US. Interesting that so many of the Neocons, as well as both Bushes and Cheney, had vested interests in Middle East oil output.

    Both Neocon theories failed to prove themselves. On the contrary, the US has squandered trillions of dollars with nothing in return. And killed thousands of US military members and a greater number of Iraqi civilians. All for the promise of Middle East oil, with the profits to a small circle of oil men.
