Do u think u should be held accountable for what u say on public forums? Some say it's just the Internet, it's not reality. Some think u can say whatever u want, hide behind a screen. Do u believe this to be true or should one still have a moral cyber-conscience?.....

It sort of depends are you just making a random statement aimed an no one in particular? Or are you targeting a specific person with your statements.

If you are targeting a specific person, then yes you should be held accountable, just as if you had made the same statements in public ... because you are.

Random statements at no on in particular are similar to wearing a t-shirt in public with the same statement or writing a book stating your view point.

One can be either slander or a verbal attack and the other is free-speech.

Aristoshark saidI prefer "The Tempest" for the dramas, and "The Merry Wives of Windsor" for the comedies, with "A Midsummer Night's Dream" a close second.

See that they're making Romeo & Juliet into a series. How's that possible?!.....

Well the kids are dead, see, but it turns out that they secretly had a boy before they went....and the boy falls for a chick from the wrong family....etc....

    Only guessing here.

I mean how can u extend something that was meant as a play into a tv series?.....

Well, you can't, because everyone on the planet knows how the story ended. So it has to be done with new characters that are somehow related....like I described.

Or can take artistic license & bastardize the whole plot & have a different ending, a happy ending icon_smile.gif .....

    Lots of sex.

True icon_smile.gif Go into detail with the side characters, like make Mercutio be gay who was really into Romeo, hence the hidden jealousy, something like that icon_smile.gif .....

itsmesnitches saidyes. been on internet forums for 13 years and that's the norm. over here is different because this place is lax. i know that half of the website would probably be banned or receive warnings IF there were moderators in this place and the forum were more updated.

U notice that all ur threads u create only go back so far? I've been making threads since I joined in 2010 but when u scroll down my thread list it only goes as far back as February of 2013.

I honestly thought this thread was about Shakespeare. I saw a local production of Much Ado About Nothing and it should have been retitled "This Is The Most Boring Piece of Crap Play I've Ever Seen."

Why does every comment you make, which is something for every thread, include the work "Shit?" Seriously, dude, why do we get all this shit from you? Are you into it?

just feel like typing my shit up like that. *shrugs*

Bad habit. Try writing (and thinking) without "Shit" as a go to word and you'll find you think more precisely. Same with spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. You make an effort and after a while your brain thinks in a more organized way.

why? understand if i were in school or work where that would matter, but it's only just a web forum. don't think i have to be on point with the english, typing on something that i do for leisure purposes. it's nothing serious. not like i'm getting or gaining anything from being here. as long as you understand what i'm saying, does it really matter if i type shit, make spelling errors or whatever?

It tells people a lot about you. If you want your thoughts to be taken seriously, you need to be respected. Sloppy writing suggest sloppy thinking. Why should anyone want to read your comments if you haven't bothered to think about what you're saying?

as i said, this is an internet forum. it's not a job or school where it matters to speak properly or have your english on point. i'm not gaining anything from being here. you can't judge someone just off of a web forum especially here where people take more people seriously off of pictures than response.

and knowing how this site contains overly superficial people in general (yeah, i said it), it really doesn't matter how you type. people pay more attention to how you attractive you look than how you type and treat you accordingly to that. that alone should tell you something. so if i'm being judged by how i look and folks think i'm unattractive where folks are going to treat me a certain way such as reading my posts, do you think it's gonna matter how i type?

so it really doesn't suit my interest to type properly or whatever so i'm not doing it. besides, it's your choice to read whatever i post or not. it's not like you have to read what i'm saying. neither of us gain anything if you ignore or chose to read what i put. i'll take this place seriously if they pay me for being on here or if they give me something.

True icon_smile.gif When u find someone hot, the way they type is the last thing u think about icon_smile.gif U find all their idiosyncrasies & style adorable & cute icon_smile.gif .....

While it's true it doesn't matter because it is understandable, some might make quick snap judgements on people's punctuation, grammar and so on.

so? let's be real here. being smart on here will not get you anything. hell, i've actually seen posters on here get dissed by others for showing their intelligence. on the other hand, being attractive will get you buddy and hot listed and have people showing you love no matter how dumb or fucked up you are. with that said, i'm not toning down something like the way i type for anybody on here regardless. as long as i'm not violating the site rules or doing anything that could get me banned, i could care less. if someone wants to judge me off of that, fine. i'm not toning down anything for the backwards ass groupthink logic on this site.

    So true icon_smile.gif

    Accountability?

Most people don't have that in real life, let alone on the internet.

I think the pics and the write up in someone's profile tell you the answer to this: no pic, no or a short write up means that they aren't confident enough to be out in a "semi-public" forum like a "Gay Life and Fitness" website.

If someone takes the time to verify, load up a few different pics and takes the time to write a paragraph or two then they are more accountable to themselves and others.
