Universal single payer healthcare for all (Obama, Congress, cops, techers, unions, CEOs, EVERYBODY).
    Raise taxes.
    Cut military spending.
    Deport all illegal aliens.
    Cut immigration to the bone.
Admit the banks are really part of the government (as they are anyway because they always get bailed out).
Get rid of worthless crap like Dept of Education and Labor.
Tort reform to reign in douche bag lawyers (no, it's not unConstitutional).
    Raise trade tariffs on China.

single payer healthcare for all (Obama, Congress, cops, techers, unions, CEOs, EVERYBODY). No. Too risky if there's another government shutdown. Doctors won't get paid, may even go out of business. Then we lose our personal physician.

Raise taxes. I live in NYC. Taxes are high enough!

    Cut military spending. Yes

Deport all illegal aliens. Yes, but impossible to do.

Cut immigration to the bone. No, immigrants provide a valuable "renewing" of the citizenry.

Admit the banks are really part of the government (as they are anyway because they always get bailed out). We don't want "official" government control of the banks. They can't even manage their own finances.

Get rid of worthless crap like Dept of Education and Labor. Yes

Tort reform to reign in douche bag lawyers (no, it's not unConstitutional). Yes.

Raise trade tariffs on China. No. Just stop buying stuff made in China. Difficult, but not impossible.

This is a good topic, by the way! :-)

if Obama had asked real doctors they could allowed the under insured to buy into Medicare with subsidies.

Instead they just transferred the subsidy to the insurance company.

Thankfully I think this whole silly exercise has flopped. Evidence of this is the SILENCE of the administration on Healthcare.gov and not using its suposed "success" to leverage this budget debate. Its a horrendous failure, too expensive and unpopular.

To my surprise today our medical group interviewed a RCOP&S Canadian residency program graduate.

Ironically there seems to be a doctor employment issue in Candada, which is odd since they have relatively LONG wait times to see specialists. Canada's loss is our gain.

Number of specialized doctors who are unemployed growing, study finds
A new national study by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons finds a growing number of newly certified specialists cannot find work in Canada, despite the health-care system's often lengthy wait times for surgeries and appointments.

The solution lies in creating a national think-tank to collect and analyze human resources data nationwide, she said.

notice in bold, the bureaucrat constantly thinking of the government solution. Does Canada need a MONSTER.com? is that the problem? The doctors just cant find where the jobs are located?

Enact government controlled healthcare and what you have to look forward to is rationed care and a large government bureaucracies. And as usual in a liberal government unemployment. In this example its ironically the doctors who are needed to take care of the citizens.
