Is It OK To "Flirt" If You Found Someone You Want To Spend The Rest of Your Life With?

I had a bizarre email exchange on here tonight with another member who states in his profile that he is "off the market" because he found someone who he plans to spend the rest of his life with.

It was an innocent enough exchange to start, but then he stated that he would like to flirt with me and that "We have just started seeing each other and it's not that deep."

And then he wrote "you can flirt with me all you want. I flirt back."

I feel bad for the "other guy" for getting involved with such a cheating sack of shit.

Yeah, crazy right? But it's right there on his RJ profile that he's "off the market" and intends to be with this guy long term.

If hes in a committed relationship I highly doubt he's flirting with you with serious intentions. Either that or he's a jerk.

Right. But there's the whole angle of what he states on his profile - I guess trying to build himself up as someone good enough to be "off the market" in a relationship with someone he wants to spend the rest of his life with, and then even having it enter his mind that he wants to "flirt" with someone else.

Doesn't bode well for the "long term relationship" does it?

And he wrote in the email that it "wasn't anything serious" so there's another angle that doesn't square with what he posts on his profile.

Maybe he's making the whole "off the market" and "found someone for a long term relationship" thing up to impress the other RJ members!
