Photography is a hobby and profession for me, but not necessarily in the areas you suggested. I will eventually get more into portrait/fashion, and the way I see it, the best inspiration in this case is a combination of beauty AND character. They must be comfortable with themselves and know who they are, and the eyes have to be revealing. I think that scratches the surface a bit, but as far as the industry goes, I'm not really the best to ask for advice as most of my work has been private, freelance and one or two small companies.

Look up Nicolas Smith... he is a member here and his work is great. He could give you much more insight than I. :)

Those are some rather disparate photography styles. "Gay" isn't really a genre proper (though "Beefcake pinup" may be what you're referring to). Fashion is a strange beast at best, and runs the gamut from event photography to industry photography. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "voyeur" unless you're referring to explicit stuff? Or maybe fetish/bondage work?

What end of the industry are you interested in, modeling or photography? They're very different (logically).

Photography is a hobby of mine. Though the subjects you listed aren't of particular focus to me.

I'm a bit disturbed by the term voyuer. There are times you take photos of other subjects or objects and there are peripheral subjects in the background not aware they were caught on film. But that word connotes the taboo practice of actively photographing a principal subject(s) without their knowledge/permission, usually in an intimate setting. In most states this is illegal. But if you're already keen on doing it, you probably already know this.

I would suggest going to a nice public place, like a park, beach, boardwalk, tourist site, etc. There will always be new subjects/environments to practice on. And no one will (well, should) be doing or showing anything "intimate". As long as you don't use the photos for commericial gain, they are legal. But if you post them somewhere and the subject asks you to remove it, legally you have to comply.

I sent in some pics several years ago and was hired to star in 4 movies a year for a certain studio. I was to be paid based on 3 scenes per video. It was fun at times, nerve wracking at others. All the waiting around to do nothing. Then having to cum , but being told to hold off, etc. In the end I developed a dislike for the owner of the company and quit.
One thing to remember, is that once the videos are finished and released they are out there forever. I still get approached about those videos and they came out 7 years ago.
