    Hey Fellas!

I'm curious to know your thoughts about the phrase "NO HOMO".
Do you think it's more of a homophobic response or straight dudes afraid that people will think they're gay? It's turned into a macho way for guys to show that they love each other.

I'm wondering what you guys think.

That's pretty much it--something that insecure straight dudes say. I don't pay it much mind. I think the phrase is silly.

I think we homos should start saying 'Yes, Homo!' just to counter it. Like at the coffee shop.. 'Hey.. can you put some extra milk in my coffe. Yes, homo!.. Wait! I meant homogenized milk!' icon_razz.gif

I say "no homo" when I'm around people who say "no homo."
it's a funny harmless expression. It has nothing to do with insecurity.

Not sure. Don't gay men also sometimes say no straight, or I am not straight or no hetero?

But it does sound slightly homophobic. It depends on the person saying it. I don't think it's offensive.

Yeah, that would sound funny if I said to woman, "You have such a nice figure... no hetero."

I thought "no homo" was slang for no homogenized milk.
