So Tinder is an app that hooks up to your facebook and lets you anonymously heart or pass on a guys photos, if you both like each other a conversation is started. I think it's pretty fun and met some great guys, you guys?

I'm guessing it gives you matches based on their "interested in" on facebook

Facebook involves personal info about an individual. Grindr or apps like Grindr are hookup apps.. People like privacy when hooking up, meaning the little they know about the person, the better... The two don't go good together...

This. Tinder requires Facebook, which I don't have and don't want.

Yes, I agree with this. Also, Tinder tells you about mutual friends and interests, which is more date-y. At the same time though, swiping through all these guys with their best photos kinda makes an illusionary effect. All this stimuli of hot guys makes you think they're everywhere, even if it could only be that they have a good angle.
It happens that guys will match but never speak as well, either from lack of motivation, or just because it gets boring/never leads to anything.

I like tinder, I've actually met some quality guys from it. A lot of them happen to be more attractive and intelligent than the guys on Grindr in my area. A lot of them are more date and relationship-oriented as well, which I like.

    However, I'm still single. icon_lol.gif

I checked it out and there is the option for selecting which gender you are interested in.

Let's stop kidding ourselves. Tindr, OKC, POF.. Many gay and straight people use them as hookup apps. icon_lol.gif

Just a warning, Tinder sucks up a lot of your phone's battery cuz it needs to use GPS to find people. You can't turn off the GPS feature on it either because it won't find anyone.

If you're using Android, you can download a GPS spoofing app. No root required. Then you can just turn off the GPS on your phone.
