The album leaked a day ago and well, it's definitely not Teenage Dream... but we knew that.

It's more heavy on the emotional front. Parts feel like a poorly written Adele record, others are more genius.

Roar underwhelmed me immensely yet other parts of the album go lower.

For your more poppy sensation you get Walking On Air which is straight from a Queer As Folk episode, I swear... but it's decent.

Overall, I'm not captured by the record. I look forward to the remixes but Prism doesn't give me the replay value I hoped for that The Confection version of Teenage Dream delivered with just two released tracks.

    Others thoughts?

I like "Birthday". The rest of the album, not so much. I feel like she overdid the whole "spiritual/higher power/whatever" theme in the album. Some of the lyrics are really odd, too: "We see eye to eye like a double rainbow"? Rainbows don't have eyes, Katy!

That's how I felt. Even though I don't mind "By the Grace of God" the rest of them weren't necessary.

I'm enjoying it. I like that the album shows Spiritual, personal and mature growth. I didn't have high hopes for it after initially hearing 'Brave' err I mean 'Roar', which has since grown on me. I love 'Unconditionally', 'By The Grace of God', 'It Takes Two', 'Dark Horse' and the 90's House vibe of 'Walking On Air'. It's a solid album over all. Give it time and a chance icon_smile.gif

Well, it is pop music.... I prefer Miley because she twerks and I always cheer for the underdog... Katy Perry seems more artificial...

They both have weird alien faces though.

I'm actually surprised at how good the Miley Cyrus record is. It's chock full of hits. One of my favorites -- "4 X 4"
