I purchased a HP Envy (Windows icon_cool.gif a month ago. I set up WIfi right away. Yesterday, when I logged on Wifi was not available. The light which typically turns from orange to white when Wifi is available stays orange. It also shows that there are no networks available.

    Any thoughts?

You also might have a physical wifi button on your hp and accidentally pressed

Yeah, sounds like you might have accidentally turned off wifi on the laptop. I think on newer HP computers, there's a keyboard shortcut. Usually the Function button + some other key. Look for a wifi symbol on your keyboard.
